Get one of these and be done with it. You see the buildup of water in the bottom sight glass you open the petcock drain it into a cup and the water and sludge is gone I run these on all my hunting and fishing boats.

We did manage to put 5 coho and 4 kings in the boat and dropped a couple kings but they all had empty stomachs. Go figure

I've been using my washdown pump. Wad up all the fleas into a ball and spray them at close range and they just seemed to melt off the line.

Thanks for the info that was the response I was hoping to get .I've read a few previous reviews of the older digitroll bottom tracking and it seemed to act up for many people .Could have been improper installation, could have been a bad transducer who knows. Looks like I know where my stimulus check is going lol

Check out Canon optimum on YouTube there's a couple videos that explain everything. No other downrigger on the market even comes close or compares with it. Just wondering if it functions as there advertising ,or if people are having problems with them.
