  1. Finally able to get a very good friend out fishing on the Big O. At 86 not many more days left to enjoy a day on the lake. Started straight out in 200 and trolled NW to 400 FOW. Turned and headed SE toward Olcott into 160 FOW. Been fishing Ontario for more than 35 years. Been skunked a number of times, but it was extremely disturbing that NO FISH showed on the screen. Have 2 units on board and used both thinking maybe one was just fuzzy. Trolled a distance overall about 12 miles in total. Seen one mark 55 down over 370. That was it. No boats out, seen only one other boat all day. No trailers at Wilson, 3 trailers at Olcott.
Something is definitely wrong with Ontario. This was a strange day on the water.  WOW, got me wondering whats out there.

We even threw a kitchen sink in behind a dipsey nothing🥴🥴

  2. Send a text of your address to 6074268426 and I will send you a copy of a registration form by mail. Then you can mail it back to the return address on the envelope filled out with the entry fees of everyone that will be on the boat. Please let me know if paying with a check in text message and I will let you know who to make it out to so we can cash it to add the funds to the prize pool. Thanks

Is this tournament always this weekend every year?.... may have to set aside time next year for it....Vacation time this year tied up with Colorado elk hunt in October

  3. The smaller lakes are very much influenced by this. As the wind pushes the top layer one way, it also creates a current deeper down in the opposite direction in order to replace the water that has been pushed away. That is important when you fish near a point. The fish will find a place where this current will go over their head, usually on the lee side of the top of the point and wait for food carried in this current. So make sure that your presentation is deep and moves in the opposite direction of the wind.
