Privatedata, I drained tank, checked fuel lines to pump, replaced fuel pump filter and installed a water separator all in last 3 weeks. Heath, could be the module, Tom at east fork said the same. Hopefully not. They are NLA, hard to find and mucho expensive, I believe the coil is part of the module. Pump is mechanical.

I had same type of problem one time and it was the screen in the pick up tube in the gas tank getting **** in it when quite the **** fell to bottom allowing it to start and run untill it got cloged i took screen out put in inline filter run perfect after that

Hello folks, I would like to share with you information I discovered (this is some sort of hidden by Cannon) regarding the Bottom Tracking feature. A few Cannon-sponsored videos on YouTube is just like video manuals provide no real value.

The guys shows how it works on anchored boats,:rofl:  the most important cavity is the fact that it is not automatic. This info hidden by Cannon and cannon's advertisers in purpose to mislead people on functionality. Ironically no one in cannon support know much about bottom tracking except how to turn this future on and set it up. a. Let me disclose Cannon Bottom tracking feature Myth and Reality. let's start from cannon nicely wrapped Myth about convenience of Bottom Tracking. I am sure that everyone watched nice animation on Cannon site about how the bottom fishing works. Looks very promising and simple - you install Cannon transducer (or use Humminbird Helix instead off), turn ON bottom tracking on downrigger, set distance from the bottom, set Offset Distance value and vuala - you done. Isn't sounds simple ? Yes.

Not sure if you know this already but Offset Distance means your weight blowback factor (push back while your boat in motion caused by hydrodynamic resistance of water column to the weight you're dragging through the water). Therefore you need manually to calculate this value using provided blowback chart table. Because of blowback value heavily depends on your trolling speed, underwater flows, and wind you will endup with 30-35 percent error in your calculation. This error is sufficient to either keep your weight too high, above desired distance for the bottom (best case scenario), or too low - cause your weight drop on the bottom. When its on the bottom, it will stuck instantly in junks or rocks. If you are lucky, you will take back your line and hook up one more weight before you will lose it again; if you are not lucky you will damage your downrigger boom and some other parts. Be aware that Cannon sonar will not track you weight position, including blowback and automatically adjust it to selected distance from the bottom.  It wood be too nice to have it. Probably Cannon left this to the next release to force us to spend another couple of thousands on a new toy.

I run my cannon for bottom tracking and the run flawlessly been running them for years

I have owned this boat since 2014 It had 416 hrs. on it, now it has 1525hrs. it runs great (very gas friendly) In2020 the gimble bearing was replaced the bellows U joints and shift cable. In 2021 a new canvas with drop curtain.

I have always kept this boat on the trailer never sat in the water docked.

My reason for selling is I'm turning 65 and it is not so easy alone anymore, everyone wants to go until you ask them to go if you know what I mean. I don't have to sell, more hrs. will be going on it as I will be using it.

When those 19 Sea Nymphs were sold new there were a lot of packages that had the 70 hp on it, instead of the 90.  Boat was slow with that.  The Crestliner will be proportionally slow with the 90 vs the 115 but if you are fishing solo a lot, that lightens obviously what is being pushed through the water.    I had a 19 Sea Nymph that I put a 90hp four stroke on,  so I know the boat.  The Crestliner weighs more plus improvements over the years will make it ride better than the Sea Nymph.  I have liked the Commander since they first introduced it several years ago, so I say if the deal can be made-go for it.

I have to say The 20 ft commander is a buty to fish out if

I run a Raymarine EV-200 with their X5-R behind the steering wheel.  I've had it for 5 years or so and love it and would have my buddy get the same unit, but its no longer made.  He has a 23ft glass I/O boat with cable steering and trolls with his main.  For a chart plotter, he has a Lowrance Ti2.  Since it cable steer and he doesnt want to switch over to hydraulic, what are the best current options for autopilot?  I started looking but now I'm more confused on the newer options then when I first started.

I have that xr5 system for sale i just took off my boat

    Good morning and Happy Easter.

    I have a 95 201 CC Mako with a 200 Yamaha 2 stroke.

Just picked up a 22 Yamaha T-9.9 kicker.

Bought a Panther kicker bracket over the winter.

Because of the motor well on this boat , I think the connection will need to be made  at the rear of the 2 motors.

Anyone have a rear setup that they would recommend?

    Any advice would be great.

Want to do this once and right the first time.

    Thanks

    Mitch.

Get one that is fir a i/o u will hve to modify it some but it will work

You should look into a dedicated kicker auto-pilot unit like the Garmin Reactor 40. I have the older TR-1 Gold version on my kicker and it was a game changer for me. If you could see the movements the AP unit has to do to hold course in any kind of chop you wouldn't even consider a remote steering unit imo.

Yes that is for sure i just put in a new Ray marine hookd up to the tr1 system

    it is great

  12. Smart pilot is locking up my steering. So pulled unit ripped it apart. Can't figure out whats making it bind up. Lots of brass parts, not the plastic inards I was picturing. Unit is 10 years old, and steering has always been hard with the auto pilot installed. After removing the auto pilot steering is like new. Hard to fish without an auto pilot tho. Any insight would be great.

i greased mine now it like new
