I'm out in about 420 right now out of Olcott and going out to look for some fish . Any reports on what depth and baits, thank you

I'm coming up to fish Friday and Saturday. Hoping to get some staging action but will move offshore if that is where the best bite is

Just pick and choose your days. Last year we went to 500ft in a 16ft alumacraft and absolutely no issues, granted we had a flat lake. But we have also been offshore in our 18ft Lund with no problems. So it's all about picking the right days.

They were staging in 80-100 at the oak 3 weeks ago
Good to know.
How come most reports are coming from offshore though?

Is there any reports of staging kings from the bar to oak? I'm hoping to get up labor day weekend for stagers but all of the reports have still been way offshore. Any reports would be helpful, thanks a lot!

Fished from 5:15-10:30, 100-125 fow fished 30-80 down. 6 color with glow green alewife spoon started off hot. As the day went on, riggers and divers with spin doctor and flies started taking bigger fish. Riggers down 70-80. 1 with big spin doctor and fly, other with carbon 14 spoon with gator as the slider. Divers were 145 and 170 back on 3 setting. mtn dew and lemon ice spin doctor with flies. We finished the day 20-26 with a lot more misses.
18 kings and 2 steelhead landed, mid to upper teen kings on the flasher/fly and smaller fish on spoons

Same for us today off Olcott. All week I am pulling out spoons, meat heads and jplug harnesses way down kings mouths. They were chewing. Today 1 for 4 in the morning then in for breakfast and then reset for offshore steelhead head. ZERO steelhead today over fantastic water with a midge hatch, bait, slick lines …..should have been perfect. Three hours and one release and maybe two hooks on the graph. The bite is off today.
Also went out of Olcott today and fished 50-150 and had decent screen but only got a laker. Went offshore to 450-470 and got 3 2 year old kings, a steelhead and a nice coho. Went back inside 50-100 fow for half an hour and has a big king hit a spoon and break us off and got a brown.

I'm going up tomorrow afternoon/evening. Either going to the bar, Wilson or Olcott. Any up to date reports or advise would be greatly appreciated!

Got a report today in Olcott that a charter only got 4 fish.

We fished 450-500 and crushed the steel on a south troll and didn't touch a king during a south troll, but once we changed directions we'd hit a king

We went out last year on July 5th and fished 150-200 fow in Olcott and picked up non stop fleas. We went out July 4th this year from 300-500 fow and picked up absolutely no fleas. Also had a killer day!!
