Careful guys...most of Sodus bay is still frozen,....a good south wind after you launch can pack the launch and channel with ice leaving you stranded out in the lake

Funny, how government has no common sense........years when they can swing it in early-mid March and this year they can wait a couple of weeks......Ibay is still ice covered, I guess they have to because that what the road signs say......

Also.... I tried Chinook divers last year.....luv them for walleye less diver drag......bought them in powder coated flat black for this year.

They are great for walleyes too. Once I had the release setting right, walleye tripped them every time..

You can launch your Arima here no problem. Channel out to lake is shallow on both sides be careful when going out........center is plenty deep.... Yes you will need a town permit. http://www.ontariotown.org/parks_&_recreation.htm

My best way for smallies the last couple of years, is to troll for them, 15-35fow flat lines, shad raps, I usually find them on a school of bait on the FF.
Throw a marker, go back and throw lures or jigs at them till they move on, repeat -

Heading to Erie today, even though it doesn't look good for tomorrow. Staying for a few days with a tournament out of Northeast Pa. on saturday. Staying for a couple extra days next week,. I've heard the same, fish are deep.
Just saw the marine weather..Thursday. 4-6ft waves chance of waterspouts.....will leave tomorrow to fish friday

I guess ill chime in seeing as I'm one of those guys .First , when we luanch, me or my buddy are in boat ...dunk him in and we are out of there in less than a minute ,,he then picks me up on dock bt fish cleaning station..no need to wait for shuttle..When we return ,,its same thing ..i get dropped off on dock in front of fish cleaning station....However i wait off to side with trailer until guy in boat has his open dock..i back in ..he drives on and we are out in less than a min ....We always wait out turn ...It gets us in and out a LOT quicker ..I think if more people did this ,ones that could .It would be a lot quicker for everyone
Agreed.......this always make things go quicker for EVERYONE...........
