  1. I fished the haystack 7/30 7/31. Saturday we did 9 of 11 on laker's a Skippy and 1 mature king in the 25lb. range. 100 t0 120 down over 140 . 280 to 320 dipsy on two settings were also very active. nbk 28 behind chrome dodger worked well and white spin doctor with green white fly also worked well. Sunday was somewhat slower. we ended up with 6 laker's and had the biggest runoff of the season on what had to have been a huge king. the first run smoked the drag on our junk cabellas reel and when the fish made its second run the drag jammed resulting in the loss of a $42.00 dipsy fly and flasher. preety stout wind and chop but a fun weekend. back up on 8/19

  2. you may be interested in this. i bought this lot to compliment another lot down the road which i sold. the buyer was not interested in the waterfront and as a result im stuck with it. Im motivated to sell it and price is negotiable. I am also open to the idea of a lease to suit a situation such as you are looking for. the site is aproximately 10 miles north of watertown. it would take some work to be campsite ready but im open to any ideas if you are interested.

    good luck

This bear was in my yard two days ago and turned over my garbage cans. his rear paw measures nearly 9 inches in length and his front paw is nearly 7 inches wide. i have done some research and found that add 1 to the width of the front paw and that total is roughly the hide squared making him nearly 8 ft. i havent seen him but pa. bear season is in a couple of weeks and you never know??

the trench is in the area you described . it runs from stony lightouse ne. towards association island. when going out of the trench there is a "finger" that extends out from the lighthouse on the mainland. it extends out into the lake close to two miles and will drop off to 150' at the tip and north sides. There should be little competition right now as many have given it upm for the season. If we get wind as we have all summer the tip of the finger gets pretty nasty but the trench is oftes somewhat protected. You should find fish anywhere from the lighthouse to the mouth of the black river. there is probably more concentration up near the river now. You should also find laketrout now in tempature. good luck and let me know how you do

  7. i looked on this jerks website and in going through his photo gallery(wich consists of one picture) I recognized his face. Just so happens, i had an experience with him myself in the bovine section of the salmon river the first week in october.

We arrived early in the am. put on our waders and started down toward the river. A truck came speeding in and two guys jumped out as if to try to beat us down to the river. going down the path they were right behind me and as i walked downstream they followed and stopped in the same exact spot as me in the dark. I told him that there was three other guys with me on there way down from the truck just so we could spread out a little and give each other some room. He then began to scream "i Own this land". I said i did'nt see you come from the landowners home, you drove in a vehicle. He then changed his story to his father in law owns this land and i built these runs. I think he had some thoughts about trying to be a tough guy but I must have been a little too big or too young for him? so the sun comes up and he has one client. He shows him how to cast and goes back to the bank, sits down and covers his head with a rainjacket. constantly he keeps saying he feels sick and starts making cellphone calls. I had the impression he was either strung out or hungover. A short time later his client notices he is no longer behind him and has left him. I overheard him saying how am i going to get back to my car. Another fisherman offerd to give him a ride. I join together with the rest of you guys in saying this jerk should never be allowed to call himself a guide and is certianly no sportsman.:no:

Hopefully he will be rightfully prosecuted. With any luck when he becomes elderly, i hope he encounters a young scumbag just like himself.

  8. A whole year of quality fishing for 70 bucks! really we have no complaint. when you take into consideration all of the great things ny. does with their hatchery's, its money well spent.

now if you want to waste money on a fishing liscence come to pa.
