  1. I still say start with cutting the state gov, You do not need 8 trucks 14 people to fix a bolt on a guard rail, or to fix a pot hole. I see so much wasted money in the dot that it makes you sick. Why not come to some agreement and let the drilling begin for gas and being self sufficient and bring jobs to the area and pay royalties out to local gov and land owners. Would nyseg or local gas comp have anything to do with holding this up because they would not be able charge supply charges like they do?. The gas business in my opinion IF Done Correctly could turn this area around fast if Done Properly with respect to people and natural resources.

Get the bum out of NY and keep him out. MY personal opinion.

  2. I was going to say something Like that Rapala, Seasonal site, dockage, food enterttainment. Fuel at the marina is a deal at $4.00 gal with a 80 gal tank. about everyother weekend,

But back to subject should I continue with reasons to add 3 rod or what leaving personal opinions out?

  3. Um....

Nice on the out of state comment- I'll have to remember that when I fork over $75 for my license this year.

Ok i am sorry for the out of state remark , I have a personal problem with a few and held it against everyone, I take back my statement.

    Dont think too hard

  4. It could help justify the license increase fees, and also what do you think about only for NY resident license holders no out of state?. as there increase was min. This would not affect creel limits but rather the number of hooks and increasing the odds of catching and thereby most would return putting more $ into our local economy.

  5. Hi everyone as you know I contacted my senator, regarding the 3 rod rule and now I got this email back. Need you opinions. post them and I will send in to him.

    Thanks Greg

Hello, I'm one of the Senator's staff who will be working on the "3-Rod" bill.

I was wondering if you could reply with some points as to why you and your fellow supports feel this should be made into law.

    Thank you very much!

Could be a set up, to get the things closer to the front door? last step away from the curb, or maybe she saw a new lodge entrance and thought it was nice. mine are in the basement in family room. My wife would never allow in fromt room. If you get a chance and she even suggested wow get it done today.

Hope you had a good Christmas sounds like you did.

    Greg:

Thanks for your email asking me about the “three rod rule†for Lake Ontario. Thanks for following up with me too. Nothing came of the three-rod rule for Lake Ontario yet.

My staff and I have done quite a bit of research on this rule to see what we’ll need to do to change it. We needed to confirm that Canada and the feds won’t need to get involved. So that’s why I’ve taken so long to respond.

The rule you’re referring to applies everywhere in the State and is part of the Environmental Conservation Law; meaning that it can only be changed by legislation.

I’ve asked my Legislative Director, Aaron Martin, to draft and introduce a bill amending the Law from two rods per person to three.

I’ve also dug up an online petition that you can sign, if you haven’t already, at http://www.petitiononline.com/3rrolo/petition.html.

Don’t hesitate to check in with me about this bill’s status next year. I’ll need your help to get it through the Senate and the Assembly.

    Best holiday wishes,

    http://www.petitiononline.com/3rrolo/petition.html

    Tom

  8. See if you have any logging companies in your area, I lease from Cotton Hanlon here in the southern tier near owego 32 acres, cost is around 400 year. great deal you can enjoy all year if you want, post it with your signs, my problem is I am passing young deer and seeing nice bucks during bow season but with farmers around me and there BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG deer drives once the guns start everything pretty much goes in to nocturnal mode, they even started doing big drives as early as 930 am opening day.

    it gets frustrating.

  9. No problem, Chowder I do know what you are saying about practise though. I see guys every year in dicks or gander the eve of opening day buying a new gun and ammo. You know they are not practicingwith it b4 opening day unless they are shooting and sighting in the dark. I have belonged to a shooting club for over 20 years and also upland bird hunt. I unfortunatly am leaning towords the 270/243 I have always been one to wait for the best shot , never running. I plan on reloading my new rifle as i have reloaded shotshells but learning to do brass.

    Thanks
