You can catch just as many bt's in the east end gin clear water last two days out of sodus we had 32 bites . Have to change tactics and stay away from boats . Biggest problem you catch a fish 6 boats go to that spot . Kills it. Leave and go back to where those boats came from you'll catch another

West end definitely has better fishing early in year. East end has water that is just too damn clean. Always caught fish on east side but worked my ass off to get them. Took a charter with my brothers on Crazy Yankee this April, and we did amazing numbers over 2 days. His tactics were not any different than what I run. Difference was the water. East end you can count the rocks in 20'

Listen I said this at the meeting we stock over 600,000 steel head every year 

the 10,000 steel head caught in the lake every year is not the problem.

yes there are days we have to target a few steel head off shore. The problem is survival rate not what the lake guys are taking. River fisherman but a lot more stress on steelhead than lake fisherman . They catch and release after taken many pics in freezing weather . This isn't meant to piss off trib guys . They have a right to fish also. But most of the trib guys think we don't have a right to steelhead because we fish in the lake. We should be working together to see what can be done as between the 2 we catch around 30,000 steelhead a year. Out of 600,000 . Do you see the problem! On top of that I'm a lake guy and I'm the only one that asked about net pens. I have not seen any action taken by a group of river anglers other than saying we catch to many. Get more involved with your stocking. Find out what Canada does different? 

I heard at the meeting one guide from river we get people from out of town! Really 90% of my trips are from out of town I run around 140 trips a year and I do get a few that what steel head .

Stop pointing fingers at lake guys look into what's really going on and survival rates.

   I don't think you can say that you have to be in all. There are to many now to say that. I agree with that. We have to look at some way so people know a how to keep score and be make it easier to have a way of seeing where you stand. I would have thought Screamer was winning but I fish in most and had no idea who would have been any where else in the standing, If I'm at most and can't tell you won't get any body else to get in. I know you have done a lot of work that is thankless. And thank you for that. There has got to be a better way and we never heard anything about the cup race at any tournament. I understand the different formats make it tough but lets look at it this way. Every tournament isn't fair anyway in the old format anyway. Because some places you fish for Browns and steelhead. so it always put more pressure on the teams in the last couple when the big guys are suppose to be around. Plus some tournaments have 50 teams and others 20 or you can have 0's and finish with more points than teams did in other tournaments where they boxed on day 1

Dave and crew did a great job.

I would like to see the scoring done the way you do your cup Tom Take the total box of your best four days. that way you still don't need to fish all of them and if you do it give you some mulligans. But at least you know where you stand. Your scoring system is a lot easier and you might get more to try.  

More Kings is what we want. Stop the Laker thing People come here for Kings you Know how many places have Lakers? People want Kings...

 

I again it would be nice to have known the break down and it is a shame that the old style cup is gone. I like the one when you added the totals of all 4 events. This current style of points has stank for awhile.

I will be in the no communication tournaments this year for sure. Not sure if I will be in any that has open communication. I don't care how big the purse is. But after all these years I can say its getting old we have the same people fighting the no communication, but to put in print slamming other tournaments is no way to get people to come to yours

I agree Matt The problem with a open board is to many people can write or type sorry anything with no Facts. Jim I don't believe the counties have alot to do with the rules. Yes the Am's did boost the economy the problem is there are not enough of them fighting for it in each port from what I heard.

Thanks for the update Vince does any one know what's happening on the east end. I sell these and would like to know what's happening. The shame would be if they all go away over rule changes. If something is done soon then they won't have time.

I would hope that the old rules will be in effect. Troy Brown Trout is what keeps Sodus alive. We should look at what made them a success. Also there is alot of Strategy on weather to go for Trout or Salmon. What would you do if the Salmon dry up? Have 12 fish limits and boats come in with 2 or 3 fish? We have seen this before in 5 fish tournaments.
