  1. well we had a fair day ....had the lead for a while ...then the big hammers came in ....looks like as of now an 11 pound laker is in the lead for big fish and down to 9.6 pounds are the top 5 spots for the laker division.....tomorrow is another day ....we had fun.....Mark

  2. Had the lilboat out first time in about a month fishin with nephew Dave

    Started 2nd pull.

Fished N. end from 6:30 to almost 1 when I decided to stop dealing with the south wind.

Went 6 for 7 with 3 atlantics, 16-21" and 3 Lakers, One being a reel nice fish.

Biggest fish 12lb laker and biggest atlantic hit the 9 of 10 color lead core Monkey puke. Others were all on dipsy spoons.

Lost a spoon first thing. I was checking leaders, as we went to Wilson last weekend and wanted to downsize. Snapped on the spoon and tossed it behind the lilboat. I figured the leader must be attached to the rod and out it went never to be seen again. Nice leader not attached to a rod......:(

    I DID THAT A FEW TIMES MYSELF....LOL

  6. I have the same issue but it happens intermittently, Mag5's. I put coated cable on the one and the other is factory rigged still. I run them off a battery that is not switched but is stand alone. I am beginning to think a ground issue as the battery is not grounded to the boat.

Anyone have any thoughts on that??? Not sure if that's a concern for you ERabbit and my apologies for jumping on your thread :)

If the battery is astand alone , you have to ground the battery to the boat , if you have a fiberglass boat you have to ground the extra battery to the motor to create the ground loop , the ball breaks the ground loop and shuts the rigger off when it comes out of the water....I hope I did not confuse you ......Mark
