  1. I grew up in Farmington and now I live in Tioga PA. Which is right over the border from Corning NY. I live in PA because the Taxes are cheaper but work in NY. I grew up on Canandaigua Lake and love the bass fishing there. Two summers ago I caught the biggest smallmouth ever right off the water treatment plant on the North end. It was in about 20 feet of water with a live crawdad of all things. We had the kids with us on my fathers boat and we were pan fishing. The beast was 21 inches long and weighed 4.5 lbs. I fish the South end a lot in summer for the LM Bass. They are fun too.
  2. Hey SinDale, I know exactly what you are talking about. Last year on Sandy I told a guy that you really should not just gut the fish for the eggs and leave the rest on the shore line. I got a reply like @#%#@#% Then he got a little more irrate with me and started flashing his knife. I am like whatever and I left. DEC needs to patrole this stream a lot more!
  3. Hey all my name is Adam I have lurked here for a while and posted a few times so I thought it was time to say hello. I grew up in Farmington, NY and fished Canandaigua Lake a lot and a lot of the streams in the area. About 8 years ago I moved South just over the border in PA and still fish both states. I was just on Can. Lake this past weekend and did really well with the Perch on the North end. Also this past October I went Salmon fishing for the first time and that was a different expierience for me. Not so sure I really enjoyed it.....lol Last summer on Can Lake I caught a 4.5 LB small mouth and that slob is now hanging on my wall. I have never ever caught one that big in all my years of fishing that lake. Thanks for a great site and see you all around! Adam
  4. I fished the lake Saturday and we did ok. We were using spikes and worms fishing the North end of the Lake. We were right in from of Kershaw Park. There were only a few boats o ut there which I was surprised. We kept 3 doz perch over 8 inches. We threw the rest back. Have fun and let me know how you make out! Adam
