I've got a volvo penta inboard/outboard motor and was going to change the oil. any recommendations on what kind of oil to use?

I got some scotchguard outdoor fabric and gear watershield from home depot. $10/can , I'll tell you guys how well it works when I try it. from what it says on the can , it sounds like it'll do the job.

hi All, I wanted to know what others are using to repel water from a boat cover. the cover on my boat is made out of a canvas type material. I was thinking of some sort of scotchguard type spray, but that might get a bit costly. I've only seen spraycans of scotchguard, and to get the coverage I 'm going to need its gonna get expensive fast. any advice on how to do it?

I was wondering about the costs and any other concerns about docking a boat for a month or two. could anyone with experience dealing with these issues please give some recommendations on where to dock , going rates , security , etc. I was thinking of leaving it down by bluffers park or ashbridges bay. anything that you can think of that would be helpful will be appreciated . I'll be calling around to the marinas, but thought I would post on a few forums to get a feel for what to expect. thanks in advance.
