  1. Jimmyi, we are not too familiar with Wilson, only visited there once last year. Muskybob, Fishtails, not sure where four mile is but the area isnt that big, we might just take a ride some evening or on a blow off day. Just fishin will look for u on the water, Shade, we stay on Ontario street right next to the light house at the end of Lockport Rd. We run on channel 69, we will be there all week launching sometime on friday the 1st and pulling out sunday the 10th. We are Mike (Dreamcatcher) and John (J's smile)
  2. Happy springtime!! Anyone going to Olcott / Wilson area for the spring derby, been fishing there for the past 3 years, nice area, nice time. We are fishing with two boats this year, dreamcatcher and J's smile, run on channel 69 usually. Give us a call we share info (if we have any) lol. Good fishing and keep it fun. Dedicating a moment on the water to all the sportsmen and women who can no longer be with us.
  3. salmoite guess thats how must of us start, charter a few times but then want MORE!! The big lake has a way of tuggin at you, for some of us fanatics anyway.
  4. Samonite - not a charter here just a weekend warrior, just seemed like a good name for the boat. Jekyll - both fish were towards mexico bay 150ish ft of water, probably 20 ft of bottom. They were hard hits and taking drag, both seemed like kings. (I need to remember to sharpen the hooks a bit). The hits were on sat with brite sun lite, when I ran the spoon again on sunday with rain, not a touch, so try again this weekend I hope. I run the glow frog from time to time for kings, mag size mostly maybe the 28 on a slider.
  5. Gene thanks, I could borrow a shark and try it, then always buy 1 if it works better. I was impressed on how it held the temp, I have a friend with a fish hawh and his jumps around a lot.
  6. Ran the savant goby this past weekend 2 of three hits were on that spoon. Lost both fish, didn treally have the spoon in the water all that long. Anyone else having success using the various goby imitations?
  7. Finally got to use my depth raider this past weekend. The coated cable with a 12 pound weight was flowing way back. Does anyone else experience this or do you use a certain weight or type of weight? Temp seemed to be right on the money, just not sure of the speed.

  15. Hello to all the fellow trollers, nice site and look forward to sharing info. We have a 23 ft Polar that we dock out of Sandy Pond, been fishing the big lake for 15 years. LOVE that big water, big fish experience. Our goal is to be on the leader board for one of the loc derbies. Tried this past spring derby out of olcott. Tight lines, screamin drags and full coolers to all!!
