  1. We raise cows, I looked into what to do with the bones on google it said not to cook then because they get brittle, give them to dogs raw. Tge first cow we had butchered I got the knuckles, they sat in tge freezer for 6 months before I found someone that wanted them. Since then I don't bother getting dog bones.

  2. In my office, here I sit

    Thinking hard, do I quit

    Pros and cons, fading daylight

Scream of wire, how kings fight

What will hit, I don’t care

    Fishing, oh my love affair

    Browns, lakers, even ho’s

Jump of steelies, no one knows

In the end, I must stay

Oh the bills, still left to pay

    But tomorrow, at first light

Believe you me, I’ll be looking…..for a fight

    nice!

  3. While carousing at the Home Deepockets store, there is available a water resistant decking material that installs like a Pergo Type floor. Any thoughts?

I saw that stuff too! Well, you could be talking about two different things 1) composite decking or 2) the actual indoor product that is kind of rubberized locking boards.

    My concerns:

    - The composite decking is way heavy for a standard marine installation.

    - It is still very costly.

    - Neither of the surfaces offer very good footing with fish slime smeared on it. In fact, My floor with the rubber dust is just abraisive enough to get a little footing in that case.

    - The pergo type stuff would still get water/ice heaving between it and the decking, or between it and itself should the boat be stored below freezing in the winter.

There is this marine vinyl stuff that people do like, i think its called nautlex or something like that.

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

Spent the morning out with some co-workers. Got on the water about 7:30am and saw the pack around 130-180 east of the creek. Took a big loop, and around 8:30 the dipsy ripped with a teen king. The rest of the morning was kind of a slow pick for us. Ended up heading out deeper thinking the fish moved that way with the full sun, and headed west to where i have had success already this season. Just couldn't get into a groove i guess. We ended up with a few really good rips on the rigger, with a watermelon spoon mupped as well as on the dipsy but nobody home. I washed the mupped KOS mag/std all morning with no takers.

On the way in i figured i would try for some lakers to try to save the morning. Sent down some blue cowbells and a chartruse spin/glow on one rigger and a glow frog on the other. Fished the bottom from the pump station to the creek at around 115-95 with no takers. It looks like it was just an off day for me, seeing as to Brian killed the lakers this morning :) (congrats on that by the way).

Any tips on a solid Laker program if all else fails?

I'll be back out saturday morning with some of my dad's friends trying to show them a good time, so i'll try to get dialed in by then.
