Jimski, I live near Braddock's Bay, we get good runs of perch in the fall. Where do you think I would find the perch this time of year? My guess is out in the lake, but where??? I like the rig set up you described in your last post, I will definitely give that a shot. Thanks for any ideas you may have to share.

Hi All,
What colors and sizes (I'm thinking flukes or swim baits) are you using when jigging this time of year. What depths are the fish generally at as well. any help is greatly appreciated. I will be giving Lake trout jigging a shot around August 11th. Thanks

The afternoon was decent. The clouds rolled in and the fish turned on.

That clear ice is cool, a little creepy. Great fish!

Hey guys, where can I get my auger blades sharpened and possibly adjusted in the Rochester area?

It does look like you found some big boys and girls!!

Dropshotting w/ 6lb flourocarbon is working. When they come in the bays you really have to be doing something wrong to not catch your fair share of good keepers.

If your not out in a tree stand over the next few days the bays - Port,Sodus, Braddock etc. are filled with tasty perch. Thanks Vets for allowing me to live in a country where I can freely enjoy doing the things that I love to do.

If it's a gizzard shad your hands will smell for 3 days, very stinky oily.

I was out on Cranberry pond yesterday and despite the recent cold weather the ice seems bad and even looked like it busted open and refroze again, most of the white ice is still 10" . Allot of cracking sounds. let me know what the experienced icers think about the safety of the ice. thanks

Anyone having any luck in the Pultneyville/Hughes Marina area. We used to have a lot of fun bass fishing before the gobies moved in.
