  1. Oh yeah, Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I am working to get a better hole shot by changing from the 21 pitch prop that came on the boat to a 19 or a 17 pitch I have. If it doesn't work out I get a hold of you. Thanks again Jon
  2. Guys I've been doing some research on the yamaha and they come in 15, 20, 25" shafts from what I can tell. When you say Long shaft are you referring to 20" or 25" shaft please? Thanks again. Jon
  3. Thanks Jeff. I'll check it out. They were for Brian, but not any more.
  4. I am looking for some 3" Fishlander spoons. Particularly silver with a thin orange and chanteuse edge with black dots or silver with a thin purple and pink edge with pink dots. Let me know if you have any to sell please. If not those colors, let me know what you have. Thanks. Jon
  5. I am preparing to purchase and install a 9.9 Yamaha kicker motor on my 21 ft Penn Yan Torrent (similar model to an Outrage, but a soft top) with merc I/O. I am also planning on using a Marine Tech mounting plate to be able to lift the motor out of the water. If all goes well I'd like to add a Trollmaster throttle control too. I could use some advice please. Does anyone have any experience with determining the proper size kicker length (extended shaft or regular)? Does the kicker prop need to be below the boat? And how far? Also any general advice on installing a kicker on a Penn Yan? Any pointers on installing the Trollmaster? Thanks for the help. Jon
  6. A fellow Lake Ontario fisherman and friend of mine has to call it quits due to some personal reasons and asked me to get the word out on his trailer for sale. Here's his contact information and description of the trailer. Jack Besler 518 756 8896 [email protected] This 32' 2004 Wilderness camper is located in Oswego, NY at the K&G Lodge campground located 5 miles from the Wright's Landing marina and the city maintained public 6 bay boat launch. The launch provides access to the world famed Lake Ontario salmon and trout fishery. The campground is reserved for seasonal campers and has a restaurant and pool. It is one of the nicest in the area providing free lawn care, paved roads, sewerage, water and cable TV. The residents are mature and quiet and this is one of the best sites in the campground. The camper comes fully equipped with an outside refrigerator, table and chairs, silverware, dinnerware, pots, pans, glassware, toaster, crock pot, 2 TV's, new microwave, and a VHF marine radio to monitor or contact the fishing boats on the lake. Ducted A/C and heat services the full length of the trailer. The awning is 2 years old as is the screening in the screen room. There are many other items too numerous to mention. This camper is truly turn-key ready. Asking price is $13,000. He has pictures if you contact him by his email. Thanks if the chance to post this.

  8. Gents, I now have a 16ft semi-v and dying to get it in the water. I was planning to make a trip to either Keuka or Cayuga trolling for lakers or landlocked salmon this wkd, but never been there. Can you please give me some pointers to get started? General depth of water, spoon/stickbait lure type, and location on the lake, presentation method (lead core, riggers, divers, etc). I would greatly appreciate the advice. Jon
