  1. I am coming up from the States on Tuesday for 2 weeks & looking forward to fishing the Bowmanville, Ganaraska, or Cobourg tributaries for salmon. Have they started to move up yet? 2. Thank you both for your helpful information. The Ganaraska River sounds like a good option. How far north out of Port Hope can you go that's public water? How far up do the fish run? Also, is it crowded with a lot of people fishing? Thanks again. I appreciate the help and direction.
  3. I am a Colorado fly fisherman who's headed to the Cobourg area (east of Oshawa) to fish the tributaries for what I believe are some big fish (15-20 pounders?). This will be quite a different experience from fishing the streams and lakes in the Rockies. Can anyone be so kind as to suggest what type and size of flies I might want to use? I hear green is key. Also, would an 8 pound fly rod used for fishing Bonefish in Mexico be sufficient or should I get something heftier? Thanks very much for your help.
