Fished Cayuga again today went 12 for 16; 2 salmon, 1 laker, 9 browns. Thought we were going to do mostly a stick program till we got out there and the debris was real heavy where we needed to be, so riggers and dipsies were the way to go. Most of the fish came off of the same spinner rig baited with shad as did yesterdays. 8 of the 12 came off that rig wether off the rigger or off the dipsy. fished from 6:30 to 1

  3. Fished from 7-10:30a.m. this morning, we would have loved to stay later but the lake was blowing up something fierce. Fishing was awesome till it got to rough to have much fun let alone keep any kind od speed. Went 8 for 8 with a real nice mixed bag as follows:

    -3 salmon

    -3 browns

    -1 rainbow

    -1 laker

sticks took 4, green spin doctor green fly took one, spinner rig w/shad off rigger took 3. Looks like tomorrow will be even better.

Ran to east bay dooubled before we even had the lines all out, both fish were a little over 6#. Picked up one more quick that was about 5#. Things were quiet for a little bit so we ran west and hit a couple in front of were maxwell creek comes out, lost both. Then fished back to port and picked one up just west of the chute that was 11.5#. Did another pass around the chute and picked one up that was 7.5#. A little slow but good size fish made for a good day.

Started out heading east, nothing but clear cold water. Turned around at the east side of chimney bluffs. Picked up motored back to port set up heading west hit one as we were setting up. Warm water was only in a very small pocket around the channel. Ended up doubling twice. It was my buddy Josh's first time on the Big-O, he ended up cathing a 12# brown, pretty sure he's hooked now. Great day on the water. Great first day on the big-O for the year. Great first time brown fishing trip out of Sodus. When i cleaned my fish one of them had about 30 small baits in it, 4 of which were small SMELT! If I wasn't in class this weekend for the OUPV course I would be back there in stead of writing this post. LOL. Good luck to all.

  6. Fished the south end yesterday, started with stix along shore, first fish was a rainbow about 18 inches. kept with stix for the most part caught about 30 or so ll's and the one rainbow. largest was about five pounds. Nice box of fish. good luck

  7. Launched out of watkins, fished from noon-5pm. Worked 50fow-250fow; 5'-36' down. Used spoons, stick baits, bait rigs behind dipsies, and spin doctor fly combos; all caught lots of fish. Put around 60 LLs and four browns in the boat, lost some real good ones. The largest boated was 7lbs, but lots of 3-4lb range. pics are my two buddies who went with me, fish were headed for the smoker.

  8. We have fished the south end of Seneca Lake a bunch in the last month but today was some thing else. Started fishing at the salt plant going south. Riggers, dipsies, and stick baits all took fish. we weren't fishing five minutes and we tripled up. we kept doing short trolls through the fish and it seamed every time a rod went off three or four did. Five times we had two fish on one rod. Pretty exciting to say the least. All were LL salmon largest today was about four pounds. Average was probably 2 pounds. Largest this year 7 pounds. Purple seams to be the color of choice; however, dream weavers git-r-done saw steady action on our center rigger. 50'-200'FOW, riggers 20'-24' down

  9. we had a great time again this year. Fished sat and sun till 9:30 at night. We put around 56 fish in the boat all lakers but one salmon which placed 3rd weighing 5.95. Lakers came mostly on dodgers and flies. Salmon came a little after nine on sat night, it hit a dream weaver ss in black purple and white, rigger was only down about 20 back 20 fish flew out of the water at the same time the rod popped. Took my two little girls out sunday but we couldn't land anything over about 6 pounds for them. Great tournament, but can't wait to start chasing salmon on the big O. -William Jennings

  10. we will be lauunching out of sampson as well, 20' penn yan with soft top. fished in the area yesterday; did real well. lake was real rough in the morning but it was flat by 2pm. I placed second in Barney's last weekend with a 10.4 laker on cayuga, I am sure it wouldn't even make the board this weekend. good luck to all. I will as well be using channel 68.
