Got the 8 1/2lb steelhead a half hour into the trip, between the trailer park and Maxwell, in 26ft of water, 17 feet down. Never even saw him on the fish finder. Continued to troll between Maxwell and the trailer park. Got 3 more good solid strikes off the riggers. But nobody was home.

Thanks for the info, Woody. Does any have any suggestions? We were using 20lb mono on the downriggers. We have also been using 17lb leadcore down the chute while trolling.

Went with downriggers around 50ft in 60 - 120 ft. of water Baitfish stacked throughout. Caught 16" brown with the Pink Dodger and Dreamweaver Alewife, 50ft down in a 110ft of water. On the way back in had a hit with the same setup - but lost it because line got fouled with cottonwood. Oh well, he's out there waiting for next time. Julie
