  4. thanks Muskie bob for concidering new guys to the sport as I am in your 'tricks of the trade' If you read my introduction you'll know that I'm usally on my own really just getting into the sport. I'm currently at the point where I'm playing around with dipsy divers and doing quite well. I think I'd really like to play around with at least one planer board and I think your makeship mast is just what I should do since It's taking me forever to afford a second downrigger on my 17.5 princecraft. I had thought about building a mast similar to your's and on the board seat mount is a perfect place. One thing I'm wondering is with the mast in the holder did you find the need to have any side supports on the mast, kind of like a tripod setup or was the seat mount/mast strong enough on it's own. thanks again. enjoy the water....bouks
  5. NAME; Mark LOCATION; Grimsby, Ontario HOME PORT; fifty point/grimsby BOAT NAME; downcast FISH FOR; mainly salmon/trout--but love it all!!! ================== Hello all, Like mentioned I'm Mark (AKA BOUKS) I'm really exited about the discovery of LOU When it comes to fishing lake ontario I'm suddenly for the most part alone. Few people I know are as intersted in the sport which also makes I difficult to learn. I've slowly got on the bigwater bandwagon over the past four years and keep slowly building. I have a modest equiped 17.5 princecraft 90 horse. Right now I have one dual auto scotty rigger and am playing with dipsys and lead core until I can save up for another rigger. thanks for your time guys, say if you see some crazy dude fishing the rough water between grimsby and the niagra river all by himseft, and loving every minite of it, it's probley Me. Thanks all, enjoy the water and God bless....bouks
