  1. Got out this evening and went 1 for 4. The only fish was about 5 pounds. Not marking much and only seen one other boat land a fish. Very disappointing. To be successful out of Bronte, fish from the 70 fow to 130 fow. I find the best depths are down 45 to 80 range. If you can find the bait fish, most likely you will get into some salmon. The last few days have been really slow and hopefully the fish comeback sometime soon. There is not much structure so you really need to get the speed and lures correct to be successful. I prefer Lymans and NK's but many of the guys here us flies. Hopefully that helps a little. PM me if you want more.
  2. thanks for the response. That will help on my next trip out. I guess I was always going too slow.
  3. Hey Guys, I am new to fishing Lake Ontario and this site as I have just moved into the Halton area. I have trolled Georgian Bay for the past 20 years and they say it is different fishing here. Tried it twice late in the season last year and got a small shaker. I not use to such a flat bottom with no structure. I was wondering what depths of water to fish in and if you find mornings or evenings better. Also I have mainly fished lymans and spoons, what other techniques are good here. Do you need to find the baite fish to find the salmon. Thanks in advance for the info.
