    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    We were hot for Kings in the early AM, mtn dew spin doctor with green and anything fly behind it was getting the strikes! We were running this combo on the dipsy's #2 setting and out 180' of wire.

    Also hot was orange spoons, seemed like the more orange there was, the better.

    I dont know if boated includes released fish or not, if it does, then we had a bunch more. We were having a blast! Definatly worth the 3 hr drive each way for me. I am sure I will be making the trip again soon. Olcott is where the hot fishin' is!

    Here I am today with my catch. 2 Kings, 11lbs & 10lbs, and a 9lb Steelie

  3. Hey, my name is Ed, I am a fishing enthusiest. I am originally from the left coast (Washington State). I have availibility to observe most weekends. I have not fished any tourney's before, and have interest in watching, and learning. I am far from tournament ready! Anyway, if anyone is looking for an observer, that is familiar with how to get out of the way, keep mouth shut etc..... ping me, and we'll try to work something out.

  4. Hey, this is Ed, the soldier owner of Bobber Down. I am looking to headed out tomorrow, and hoping to get into the kings if they are biting, or maybe a couple browns if they are not. Looking for advice as to what they are biting on, or if there is somewhere that they are biting, that I need to head to in. I appreciate any advice, and if you are not comfy posting publicly the depth/ lures/ locations/ grids, please PM the info to me, and I will keep it confidential. I only have 50 days left to fish here in NY before I am transfered out of state again, so I am trying to get into the fish as soon as possible.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Tight lines!

  6. Thanks for the update Final Flight. I am going to hit Cayuga, never been there before, so it will be a new experience. I am taking my boat, Bobber Down. if anyone is out there, look for me on the radio, I would be happy to receive/give a fishing report based upon what my activity looks to be. I should be out there around 1PM and will most likely fish til sunset. IF anyone has any further advice on stick colors or spoon colors, please PM me or post here so I can take a look. I will be headed out around 10am as I have to swing by the airport to pick up my Father in Law, enroute to the fishin hole.

    Tight Lines!

    Ed
