  1. Well Folks, the start was a little rough as the launch was frozen with a bit more than a thin crust and the debris was very plentiful but after we made our way through that it was not to bad. The wind was steady out of the south east and the water a little rough. We began the northern troll along the west shore with flat lines using rapalas. After a few hours with no luck we moved to the east shore with the same program, again to no avail the score was us 0 the fish all.I decide to switch to some spoons Blue and silver (Cleos and NK). We returned to the wets side and began to pick some small LL. There were a few other gentleman out and they appeared to be catching as well. All in all not to bad a day, It sure beat being at work.

  2. Lake seamed to be calming down mid morning so I decided to make the best of it.Joined by my best friend and his son,

we began the trip running top lines on the outer edges with jointed repalas, and 200' lead with dipsy on #2 setting, spin doctors, and BW's cornbread and pole dancer 2 in the center. Nothing on the lead and spinnies, but managed 3 small LL's and what appeared to be a decent rainbow 22"on the top lines. All fish were released for another day. Sorry no pics forgot the camera. All in all a good day on the water.

  3. I am sorry about the delay. But I'm still trying to figure out all the functions of this site. The Brown is 26 3/4 inches, dad's biggest fish ever, the laker was 20 1/2 inches.sons first fish ever. They are both hooked and asked to go again next weekend. DSC00232.jpg

  4. Catfisher you might want to try casting cleos or#11 repalas. Any color seems to be pretty god right now. Depending on were your at on Keauka Is will determine wether or not if there is ice or not. However if you don't have ice at your dock it would be a wise move to start there.Early morning is usually very good and then again in the late after noon.Good Luck hope this helps. Enjoy your VALINTINE!

  5. Great day on the water. Began at 10:45 trolling the west side north with top lines and dipseys with an array of colors.Spoons,Flies and rapellas were the biats of choice. Was joined by my life long best friend and his 11 year old son for there first ever winter trolling trip. The day was picture perfect as the 11year old was able to land 15 LL and 1 Laker.Dad was quite busy but managed a few for himself including a very nice brown. Will post pics of the trip at a later date. Good luck to all and stay safe.
