Man I can't wait to get up there and wet a line. But you don't treat the non resident very well with the price of the fishing license.

By browns, do you mean brown trout or smallmouth bass?

What pond is that? Or is 'The Pond' a name you give to a big body of water? When I was in the service we use to say 'across the pond' all the time, neaning Europe or in that general direction.

Are you using a wire leader on those spinners? A bigger one might bite thru the mono.

I'm going to be up at Long point state park for the next few weeks. I hope to do a little fishing while I'm up there. If anyone can give me some pointers or what to expect up there, I'd appreciate it. If you head up to the park between now and 6/21 stop by and say hello. I'll be the volunteer camp host.

The reason I joined is to get some local fishing information. I'll be volunteering this summer with the state parks and hope to be wetting a line when not working. Hoping to cut down on the learning curve. I'm retired navy and fish as much as I can. I'll start out at Long Point state park next week. I figure I may troll some stick baits parallel to the shoreline till I find something that bite. Any assistance with fishing Chaumont bay would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
