  1. Thanks for your inputs! I think I'll go and take a closeup inspection and at least listen to the motors run. Wave Wackers? What have I missed in my several years of boating abstinence? Will google it and check them out too.
  2. Hey all! Looking for some advice on a Lund 1890 pro tournament V boat. Mid nineties, 150 hp,9.9 kicker, downriggers , no windshield BUT transom is 20 inches, sidewalls might hit 24-28" Thats a lot of weight in the back when you throw in a fisherman or two! I saw there was 23 pages of Lund postings but have an idea this might be quicker. I imagine this boat would be okay in windless water but how about a good breeze? Would I wind up on the bottom of Lake O with the low transom? I have experience in the past from rigging with a Bluefin-when it would start(lol). Its a decent looking buy from a pictures view, priced right and I have to stick under 3500 pounds tow weight. I'm a newbie to the sight and my first post on this same topic got lost somewhere so excuse if it shows up somewhere else. Appreciate any feedback, outofsight, outofmind
  3. Appreciate that Bottom Feeder! A little fussy on what I'm looking for but cant wait. Getting all hitched up Tuesday. Won't be long!
  4. Name: outofsight, outofmind (Phil) Location:NYs Southern Tier Home Port:Still my driveway Boat Name/Type:I'm on the search! Soon? I fish for:Steelhead,Bows, Browns,LL Salmon and when I'm mellow-perch ================== Greetings Everybody! I'm climbing out of the closet and becoming a member. Great site! I've probably been eavesdropping on you all for over a year now and decided to invest a few minutes to register. Havent had a boat in 3-4 years since I sold my 18 foot, hard to start Blue Fin. Lots of good times on that boat and loved to downrig Owasco Lake! Went from total amateur (70 feet of cable in 15 feet of water doesnt mesh) to derby placer over the years. My link to the big lake-Steelhead fisherman for past 8-9 years from Rochester to Jefferson County. Not uncommon to put 300 miles on my vehicle most weekends and a lot of sicktime hours on my job especially in March! Unfortunately, steelie fishing doesnt last all year and now I'm ready to resume downrigging. Wife gave me the o.k. and I've spent the past 3 days on LOU classifieds, iboat,Craigslist, Want ad digest... Its coming, even if I have to wait until fall or next spring. Good health, good fishing, good times to you all-Phil
