  1. We had a fantastic weekend out of Fair Haven.  Both Sat and Sun we were out and set up by 5:30 AM. Started at 100 FOW. Worked in that area for about 45 minutes, then headed out.  Caught our 1st fish about (5:45 Sat) (6:30 Sun)Am in 160FOW.  Worked out to about 220FOW.  Most fish came between 180 and 210FOW. Ran planners with a spoon with a 1 ounce dive bomer on top.  Lead line down the chute and riggers between 25 and 55 dn. 7 colors out on the lead line.  Everything on spoons.  Had a few spinny/fly and flasher/flys out but no hits. Most hits taken on black magic and the wrecking ball.   Mostly steelies, coho,  with a few kings and an occassional lake trout.  Had steady action both days. Largest King weight 22.5lb.

We landed a 17lb plus steelhead at 8:05PM To late to weigh in for the derby. Took it in the next day and 15 hours later it weighted in at 15# 9oz. To add insult to injury last Sat 7/14, we hooked into another huge steelie and lost it 30 feet behind the boat. 8)

  4. NYS law states:

While the Legislature is in session, the Governor has 10 days (not counting Sundays) to sign or veto bills passed by both houses. Signed bills become law; vetoed bills do not. However, the Governor's failure to sign or veto a bill within the 10-day period means that it becomes law automatically. Vetoed bills are returned to the house that first passed them, together with a statement of the reason for their disapproval. A vetoed bill can become law if two-thirds of the members of each house vote to override the Governor's veto.

If a bill is sent to the Governor when the Legislature is out of session, the rules are a bit different. At such times, the Governor has 30 days in which to make a decision, and failure to act ("pocket veto") has the same effect as a veto

The bill was sent to the Gov on 8/5. If the Legistaure is in session and I believe it is this should become law on 8/16
