We would have been happy with 6 fish over 2 days. We had 2 kings and missed 2 in two half days and 1 full day. Been coming for 25 years and we've gone thru these bad years before.

I'm sure we'll be back.

It looks like it might be a little bumpy heading out to the plant.

The news reports make it sound like there will be ice on the lake until June. We keep hearing that there's a record amount of ice on the Great Lakes and I wonder how much more ice than usual is on lake Ontario ?

Last nights news report said 90% of the Great Lakes are frozen and there's more cold air coming down from Canada.

Has anyone stayed in the cabins that sleep four ?

thats a good looking fish and it sure looks like your butts in the water. you can sign up for the derby online and make sure you do it at least one full day before you go out.

you might want to trythe top quality eyeglass lens cleaner which is made for CRIZAL anti-glare eyeglass lenses.get a small bottle from an optician or optometrist and try it on a very small portion of the screen.just use a small amount and wipe with the cloth that comes with the bottle. good luck. jeff

we just stayed 2 nights at port lodge in port ontario.clean room with 2 beds,clean bathroom,small fridge and strong but noisy a/c.rooms with 2,3,or 4 beds available and plenty of parking for boat trailers.we paid $60 per night for my son and i.

15 minute drive from mexico boat launch and convenience store across the street for coffee,gas,ice and snacks.

fished tuesday afternoon, all day wednesday and thursday until 1:30.todd put us on the fish and we had 17 browns and 2 skippys over the 3 days and missed some others.when we went deep looking for the kings thursday morning they were gone,but we weren't the only boat looking.

i can't tell you what lures we used(because i can't remember)or where we fished (it's top secret but my cooler is in the garage and still glowing.)

todd is a real gentleman and a great fisherman and he won't let us come back unless i say so.

this is a great report to forward to the office of the minister of tourism and the canadian visitors bureau.it will be interesting to see what kind of response it generates.you landed with every good intention and a warning and good explanation were in order.were the tournament organizers as surprised as you were?

there are tarpon at the bridges now and they fished for bones yesterday.offshore it's been sails, kings and some mahi.

glad i'm not flying today in this wind.

going to islamorada in 2 weeks for offshore and backcountry fishing.the captain told me he had to turn the heat on in the cabin a few mornings on the way out to the reef to take the chill off till the sun was up.(poor him).

Is anyone interested in joining me on a trip to Zihuatenejo Mexico to fish for sailfish,roosterfish and dorado(mahi-mahi)?It's a traditional small fishing town on the Pacific coast. Very safe and friendly and not too expensive.Possibly the end of February or the beginning of March.This would be my third trip but none of my group can go.
