Elmira actually has some really good fishing in the town. River, lakes, etc. as I live near Corning. Only thing is, I wouldn't venture to Elmira much if u get my drift.

Auto sensitive? U can have auto sens on but adjust ur depth. Or do u have auto adjust on also. ?
-
I took the plunge also this year and stepped into the fray of the Sodus Pro/AM first tourney for myself also.
Just looking to have fun and get out on the lake really.
-
Steelie. Nice fish thu.

live bait drifting really is not a preferred technique on lake O
This is true doesn't mean you can't do it.
Only thing is don't go find the boats and sit down in them as 99% of people will be trolling.

It may help to lessen the sensitivity and see what that does. Also you mentioned the weight being different and heavier is it a different shape? If so it could be that because the weight is larger in length, circumference or now positioned directly below the transducer it is more prominent on the screen again adjust the sensitivity downward in small increments and see how things look . I'm not sure whether you have the standard transducer and are running at 200 KHZ or 83KHZ or a single bandwidth type (50khz) and that can make a difference in how it picks up your weight. After trying the sensitivity setting adjustments try changing to the other transducer bandwidth.
They are different shapes. I was running torpedoes the new ones are shark style.
I'm running the standard transducer it came wt. 83/200. I believe off the top off my head it is currently on 83.
I will try adjusting sensitivity again as it didn't work sat when doing that.

That would be a no. Where do I do that

Had it for awhile over the years on two different boats and I've messed with it to get what I want.
Now I have different heavier Downrigger weight. Now there is just one big wide line where I have my Downriggers set at. Its pretty annoying and I can't get rid of them.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's 31 and some change on top the leaderboard right know.

Dog food and fertilizer.

They are statistics...logical math behind the numbers. You can disagree with statistical math. I'm just saying.
One bait pod equals another. Logical bell curve..take enough samples to make it statistical significant to the numbers you find.
Just read the report graphs were actual numbers not estimate.

Where did you get this? I can't seem to find it. Would love to see the graphics for one
If you send my ur email I can send it to you tomorrow morning when I get into work.

Your not that far, I live near Corning, NY.
It's been awhile since I looked at the tank.

I might have one, not sure how big it is. I'll check when I get home.
Where you located?

If u want lakers all u got to do is go out to 70 to 120 fow and hit the bottom wt ur Downrigger balls and move them up abt 5ft. Wt spoons, FF, cowbells.

This is my second year fishing out of Sodus. Last year I only caught one king before July 19lbs it was last week of May.
I have yet to catch one this year at any size. I've caught a number of Browns, Steelies, a lot of smallies (on accident fishing for Browns), and the accidental laker here or there as I don't fish for them.
-
You kinda of contradict yourself there. You say you caught 2 kings than later say you haven't caught one yet.
-
Hillbilly , I have just moved here myself . Can I get some info too? Need help
Where are you located ?
-
Where u located. Mine just sits in my yard as she's already docked for the season.

I don't think they would re-open the commercial fishery again, at least in NY be political suicide to do that. With the fisherman and the animal rights/environmentalists people crushing them
-
I'd be going but can't unfortunately.
Tomorrow morning seems like the only time be able to get out this weekend.
-
Is it handheld? I dont have a lot of room to mount a full size.
No. It's one you would need to mount.

I grew up on Lake Michigan and we use to night fish all the time. It was a normal thing done out there.
Since fishing Lake Ontario I have never done it and I don't ever see boats out there doing it.
I know some guys do it for walleyes along some parts of the lake.
&-17-16 Out of Hughes- Sure looks like a bait problem.....

But why would the state want that to happen? The sport fishery brings in a TON of money to them. If they destroy the salmon population the state is bound to lose a lot of that cash flow.
Not to mention all the people that depend on guys going up to the lake to fish for salmon.
I just can't see them wanting that to happen. Lake O is a huge resource to NY. I would think the reps from those counties along the lake would make damn sure that wouldn't happen either.
