Pier and Shore fishing Lake Ontario

I'd be happy to catch any species of fish. I looked at the map and saw a long wall that extends out on the south of the Salmon River. Can fishermen go out there. -
I'm looking for some good fishing on Lake Ontario off piers or shorelines, from Oswego and North. Does anyone have an idea of someplace good.
