  2. Kchamp, Mexico bay has been excelLent this year, guessing you will be launching from Pine Grove on Salmon river. If so try south in front of the state park in 5 to 20 feet of water. sticks in black and silver and spoons off boards and flat lines have all been working well, speed any where from 1.8 to 2.8 has been working depending on the day. Look for stained water and temps in the fifties. The south shore all the way from there to Oswego has been excelLent for us all spring but lately the nuke plant to Oswego has been our hot area. also have been running riggers around five feet down. run 15 lb main lines with 10 or 12 lb. florocarbon leaders around 150' to 200' back off the boards. Good luck and tight lines :beer:

    SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

    ====================

    Headed out of Little Salmon at 06:00, headed west. We picked up our first hit in 20' of water Just past the A frame, continued west and started to hook up from the Bluffs to the High rocks with the best action comming just east of catfish.had a double and two tripples along the way. was tough to keep lines in the water with the rain and wind freezing our hands but we toughed it out as long as we could take it. It was well worth it with a 12lb Brown being our largest fish landed and a average of 5-6 pounders, lost a bruiser on the second hit of the day pulled out about 500' of line, hit the surface and spit the hook, that's the way it goes. over all a great day other than the wind and rain.
