Another good way to get them off your line is as they come up out of the water on the line stop reeling befor they hit your rod tip and give the rod a good smack on the handle just in front of the reel once or twice and they will fly right off the line. the worst thing to do is reel them up to the tip as they gum up so much you cant even reel the line through them.

Kchamp, Mexico bay has been excelLent this year, guessing you will be launching from Pine Grove on Salmon river. If so try south in front of the state park in 5 to 20 feet of water. sticks in black and silver and spoons off boards and flat lines have all been working well, speed any where from 1.8 to 2.8 has been working depending on the day. Look for stained water and temps in the fifties. The south shore all the way from there to Oswego has been excelLent for us all spring but lately the nuke plant to Oswego has been our hot area. also have been running riggers around five feet down. run 15 lb main lines with 10 or 12 lb. florocarbon leaders around 150' to 200' back off the boards. Good luck and tight lines

Twenty-three foot self-propelled camper. Completely gone through. Furnace, hot water heater, water pump, tank, and stove all in good working condition. Bathroom has been removed and made into an additonal bunk area. Refrigerator has been removed and turned into a closet which is heated and works well as a clothes/boot drying area. Also set up with a 1500 watt power inverter that will run a small TV and DVD player. Camper can also be powered by 120 volt external power source. Chassis is a Dodge B-30 1 ton van powered by 360 V8. Front suspension completely gone through. Brakes in good condition. All tires in like-new condition. Exhaust system solid. All lights work. Will pass inspection without problems. Camper has made several trips from Central Square to central Pennsylvania border without any problems. Camper was purchased by a group of guys as a mobile hunting camp and converted to meet those needs. Also has a rack on the rear bumper that will hold 4 - 6 tree stands. Roof in good conditions, no leaks. Price is $1500 or best offer. Call or email for more details. (315) 374-6310, Kevin

Guessing a brown with all the head shaking going on, was never able to gain a inch of line on him even with the boat all the way down to a idle, was getting ready to pull a turn to try to gain on him when he spit it. Would have loved to see him.

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
====================
Headed out of Little Salmon at 06:00, headed west. We picked up our first hit in 20' of water Just past the A frame, continued west and started to hook up from the Bluffs to the High rocks with the best action comming just east of catfish.had a double and two tripples along the way. was tough to keep lines in the water with the rain and wind freezing our hands but we toughed it out as long as we could take it. It was well worth it with a 12lb Brown being our largest fish landed and a average of 5-6 pounders, lost a bruiser on the second hit of the day pulled out about 500' of line, hit the surface and spit the hook, that's the way it goes. over all a great day other than the wind and rain.

I have never run power pro as a main line so I can't comment on that. I usually run with 15# main line and 10# floro. leader abuot ten feet long so I have plenty of line for reties.
Good luck
