Thanks for the insight, Matt. I would agree with your opinion. We kept the coho as I actually prefer to eat the smaller ones. When I opened it up, it was definitely feeding on baitfish.

Thank you for the report. Appreciate the info. We were out yesterday morning for fathers day. Launched from Genesee river. Had my dad, father in law and my son with me. Trolled out to 140 fow. Only had one bite all day from a small coho on the rigger that my son landed. Tons of dead baitfish in the water. When we came in there was a guy from DEC at the launch who was inspecting boats for invasive species. I asked him if he knew what was going on with the dead fish. He said many folks have been asking about that the past week but they are not quite sure what was going on.
