Maybe NY needs to do what Ohio did and temporary ban the sales of out of state hunting and fishing licenses

It was my understanding that any state park boat ramp that was currently open were fees or a worker wasn’t required was going to stay open and usable even though the emperor closed all the others. Here is the number to the regional office that controls Mexico bay boat launch 315 492 1756.

I don’t know why you would, a lot of people do it so there has to be something. The only thing I can think of is some people don’t like the looks of registration numbers so when it’s documented all you have to display is the validation stickers

NY wants their share of the money for the sales tax

Picture your boat as if you just bought a car you need it registered before you can legally drive it

Are you a NY resident?

And if you came to NY with a documented boat and it’s not registered in any state in the eyes of NY it is a unregistered vessel

With the job I have I can guarantee you what I said is accurate

If the vessel is kept in New York it has to be registered in NY if it is here more then 90 consecutive days. If it is not here more then 90 consecutive days it has to follow the laws of where your home state is

It was 20 3/4 inches. I didn’t have anything to girth it with, I’m leaning towards getting a replica made

I fished the river this morning we caught 18 and kept 10 of the smaller ones for a hot oil bath. I also caught and released my biggest bass a 6lb14oz stud

The docks are in at Chaumont boat launch and long point state park. Good luck to everyone and it looks like I won’t be able to get out until Monday morning

I spoke with someone at the regional office today and they said the docks for the boat launches should be in by Friday

The water is not as high as it was last year at this time. I think they pulled them in the last couple weeks or so. The people who run the state parks do not care about people who fish or hunt in their facilities, all they care about is the people who camp. The point is you should have to “make a run” from another launch when the state has perfectly good facilities that they are not utilizing. The state has no problem collecting your money when you launch to fish in the summer time but come early spring they don’t have time for fishermen.

If anyone is looking to launch either at the Chaumont boat launch or Long Point State Park the docks are not in yet and they don’t look like they will be in anytime soon. The docks at Long Point all have been pulled including the floating docks next to the launch. Maybe if we complain enough they will be put in before the opener. If anyone wants to complain the number the the Regional Office is 325-482-2593 and ask either for the Regional Director or the Assistant Regional Director. I plan on calling Monday morning.

Have you heard if Canada is going to change anything because if they don’t that won’t help any. All I would have to do is cross over on the St. Lawrence and I can shoot 6 mallards
