Chaumont Bay is one of the finest locations for fishing in New York State. This event will have both Adult (13 and over) and Youth (12 and under) divisions. CASH PRIZES ADULT: 1st - $1000.00, 2nd - $500.00, 3rd - $250.00 YOUTH: 1st - $100.00, 2nd - $75.00, 3rd - $50.00, 4th - $25.00 Many more prizes donated by local Sponsors REGISTER AT: Chaumont Hardware, Chaumont Chaumont Bay Marina, Chaumont Harv’s Fishery, Chaumont B&J Bait Shop, Dexter Thousand Island Bait Store, Alexandria Bay REGISTRATION FEE: Adult - $20, Youth - $5 ALL Participants must be registered by 9:00 AM on July 23, 2011 WEIGH STATION: Chaumont Volunteer Fire Department, NYS Rte 12E WEIGH IN by 5:00 PM ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CHAUMONT BOAT LAUNCH BY 5:00 PM FOR FIREWORKS AT DUSK. ANY VEHICLE NOT REMOVED BY THIS TIME WILL BE TOWED AT OWNERS EXPENSE PER NYS PARKS AND REC. DERBY RULES Participants must possess a valid New York State fishing license and abide by all NYS LAWS. Participants who choose to fish in Canadian waters must possess a valid Ontario fishing license and abide with all applicable Immigration regulations. Fish will be judged by weight. In the case of a tie, length will break the tie. In the case of a two way tie, the first fish entered will be placed ahead of the other. The Derby Committee has all rights to examine any fish in question (by knife if necessary). The Derby Committee has the right to refuse any fish without question All participants must be registered before fishing in this derby. ALL FISHERMEN IN A BOAT MUST BE REGISTERED. Open boundaries. Fish must be to the WEIGH IN STATION NO LATER THAN 5PM ON SATURDAY. Prizes will be awarded immediately after weigh in. If you have a prize coming, please be present or have someone else designated to pick up your prize. Any prize not picked up that day will be assumed not wanted. There is a separate division for both Youth (12 and under) and Adult (13 and over). Only one prize per Registrant. If you enter a fish early then catch a larger one later and want to enter it, your first fish must be removed from the board. A fish may only be entered once. No fish may be altered in any way by the angler. A fin may be clipped at weigh-in by the weighmaster. You must present your numbered stub when entering a fish. If you want to take your fish and enter it in another derby, it CANNOT be returned for mounting.
