  1. Well - it was a typical spring day on Canandaigua Lake for the Seager Marine Spring Perch Tournament.  It started out nice and calm early in the morning but things changed and the winds came up out of the west.  There was even some snow/sleet/hail at one point.  Many teams stuck it out and fished until the end.  We had 28 teams signed up.  First place went to the Sleeman team with 5.86#, second went to the Williams team with  5.31#, third went to the Hoefen team with 5.21#, and fourth went to the Ammerman team with 5.01#.  Biggest perch was 1.525# landed by the Sleeman team.  Thanks to all for joining us again and we hope to see you in the fall.

  2. Save the Date!  April 20, 2024, we'll be holding our annual Bob Groeling Memorial Perch Tournament (formerly Seager Marine Spring Perch Tournament).  Entry fee bumped up to $60/team this year (all still goes into the pot), up to 3 people per team, weigh 5 fish.  Registration form and rules will be attached here when ready.  We plan to set it up so you can register from our website (not set yet).  Better yet, stop in and see us in our showroom at our 21 Parrish St location or call us with credit card info.  Hope you all can make it.  It's a great way to start the spring fishing season.  I'm guessing with the weather we've been having, you've all been out a few times already!

  3. Results from Seager Marine Perch Tournament:  It was a bit slow for many and quite wet, but the wind was down, so everyone had a good time.

1st place went to John Hoefen team with 4.70#

2nd went to  Jeremy McGregor team with 4.52#

3rd went to Mike Rogers team with 3.95#

4th went to Brad Ammerman team with 3.69#

Biggest perch was 1.105# landed by the Mike Rogers team.

Don't forget, there are 2 more chances to get into perch tournaments with Doc's Tackle.  Next Sunday at Irondequoit and the next week at Cayuga Lake.  Check out Doc's tackle for more info.

    Thanks to all who participated!

  4. It's already that time of year again!  Seager Marine is holding its annual fall perch tournament on 10/14/23.  We are doing it a little different this fall.  We are partnering with Doc's Tackle and you have the choice of fishing only the Seager Marine Tournament (same prizes and plaques as always) or you can enter a series of 3 and be in on additional prizes for the series winner, based on combined weights from all three tournaments.  The second one will be on Irondequoit Bay on 10/22/23 and the third one will be on Cayuga lake on 11/12/23.  Entry fee for each tournament will be $60/team, up to 3 people per team, weigh 5 fish.  Info sheet is attached.  If you want to fish the series, you must be registered for all three events by 10/13/23.  We plan to set it up so you can register from our website (not set yet).  Better yet, stop in and see us in our showroom at our 21 Parrish St location, call us with credit card info, or visit Doc's Tackle.  Hope you all can make it.  It's a great way to enjoy the lake now that things have quieted down out there.

  11. Thanks for posting results Frogger.  We had a great showing with 31 teams entered.  Biggest fish was 1.695 (caught by 1st place team) and 2nd biggest was 1.5.  Most teams had one good fish about 1#+/-.   Weather was about the best we've ever had for the spring tournament.  We've decided to call the spring tournaments 'Annual Bob Groeling Memorial Tournaments'.  Unfortunately we lost Bob earlier this year.  He spent a LONG time heading up our service department at Seager Marine.  Most everyone knew and loved him.  We will hang a plaque and add the winners name to it each year.  We hope everyone had fun on that beautiful day and made some great memories.  There was a great crowd at weigh-in and lots of chatter and laughter!  Hope everyone has a nice summer and we'll see you all in the fall.
