  1. This is an annual tournament right about the same time each year. We try to work together with other tournaments. We also hold a fall tournament mid-October. I'll post rules later. Basically, perch tournament, weigh 5 fish for total weight winner. Weigh-in at our marina location at the north end of Canandaigua Lake.
  2. It was quite a day for a lot of the folks today. We had several boats come in with 6+ pounds total for the 5 perch. First place was 6.67#, 2nd was 6.61#, 3rd was 6.51#, and 4th was 6.49#. Biggest perch was 1.81#. It was great to see such a great turnout and see everyone at the weigh-in. See you all in the fall!
  3. Less than a week away! Just call us to sign up with a credit card or stop in and see us. Registration closes Friday at 5pm.
  4. Save the Date! April 9, 2022, we'll be holding our annual Bob Groeling Memorial Perch Tournament (formerly Seager Marine Spring Perch Tournament). Entry fee will be the same at $40/team, up to 3 people per team, weigh 5 fish. Registration form and rules will be posted soon. We plan to set it up so you can register from our website (not set yet). Better yet, stop in and see us in our new showroom at our 21 Parrish St location. Hope you all can make it. It's a great way to start the spring fishing season.
  5. Fishing was a bit tough, but everyone had a good time and managed to get some fish. There were 13 teams signed up. Here's the results: 1 - Rogers Team - 4.86# 2 - Schweigert Team - 4.35# 3 - Yu Team - 3.86# 4 - Macartney Team - 3.56# Biggest perch was 1.145#, caught by the Rogers team. 8. Just as an FYI - looking at past spring perch tournament results (5 fish): 4/10/21 - 6.02 4/13/19 - 6.91 4/14/18 - 6.55 4/29/17 - 5.85 4/1/17 - 7.50 4/30/16 - 6.61 4/2/16 - 6.39 4/25/15 - 6.34
  9. Thanks for posting results Frogger. We had a great showing with 31 teams entered. Biggest fish was 1.695 (caught by 1st place team) and 2nd biggest was 1.5. Most teams had one good fish about 1#+/-. Weather was about the best we've ever had for the spring tournament. We've decided to call the spring tournaments 'Annual Bob Groeling Memorial Tournaments'. Unfortunately we lost Bob earlier this year. He spent a LONG time heading up our service department at Seager Marine. Most everyone knew and loved him. We will hang a plaque and add the winners name to it each year. We hope everyone had fun on that beautiful day and made some great memories. There was a great crowd at weigh-in and lots of chatter and laughter! Hope everyone has a nice summer and we'll see you all in the fall.
  10. Reminder - Sign up on line at our website. Weather's looking very nice!! Also , heard that the perch are biting pretty good. Let's have some fun!
  11. Website is up and running for registrations now. Click on 'Other' and then 'Perch Tournament'
  12. That's asking a lot, Les! That would be nice though. Sure hope you can make it this year. You'll have to stop in and visit and see our new construction. The showroom is going to be really nice. Our service area has been expanded quite a bit as well.

  14. It wasn't open last Tuesday. Not sure what it's like now. Very shallow in the channel before it iced over.
  15. I have a 20' Robalo center console and I troll with 2 bags and they work great. You can call Amish Outfitters and tell them what you have and they'll recommend the right size for you (1-800-473-1748). I tried a spring loaded trolling plate and it worked fine for a while. Then I was trying to control my boat when docking on a windy day and had to give it some gas in reverse. The plate got sucked in and damaged my prop and ripped a chunk out of my cavitation plate (and the trolling plate went to the bottom of the lake). That's when I decided it was bags or a kicker! Obviously, bags are much cheaper. I also agree with Justin, I had a pontoon set up for trolling for a lot of years and it was a great setup. I just wanted to try something different. I may go back to the pontoon at some point.
  16. Well, it was a nice warm day for the tournament, but the south winds were up and the fishing was tough. I'm sure that it might have been difficult to fish you're favorite spots, but several teams hung in there and did pretty well. In 1st place was Team Kevin Oliver with 4.27 lb and also the largest perch at 1.135 lbs. Second place went to the Brian Richardson team at 3.90 lbs, 3rd place was the Don Huberth team at 3.62 lbs, and 4th place went to the Jeremy McGregor team with 3.41 lbs. Thanks to all who participated and came to the weigh in for pizza, wings, and refreshments and the good old fishing stories. Always great to see the familiar faces and say hello after we missed the spring tourney. See you all in spring 2021!! Ted
  17. Website is up and running for entries. Click on 'Other' tab and then 'Perch Tournament'. Rules are there and option to sign up online. Long range weather forecast looks pretty good.

I assume you stayed down south? I was up north and it was very quiet (fishing wise!). I have a friend coming in from out of town to fish this week so I guess I better make the run south. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

    Canandaigua Canandaigua 6/16

Thanks Dan. Good ole Sutton 88 huh? I would think that they would be spinning at that speed, but maybe currents have something to do with it. I plan to go out Saturday and see if I can find a few. Thanks for the comeback and info. Much appreciated.
  22. Very nice Les! I’ll be out Saturday. Hope to do as well. Just trying to figure out what to run. Riggers, leadcore, dipsy’s? Guess I’ll have to try all. Then where to go. So many decisions. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
