Robalo 16' Center Console 2016 Robalo promised a game changer and that's exactly what the action-packed new R160 delivers. Canandaigua Canandaigua Perch Tournaments
Fbog12 replied to Fbog12's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
We understand the conflicts. Fix it 4U runs some sort of tournament every weekend, so we can't avoid that (unfortunately their April 1st tournament is for perch). Our programs and rules are a bit different (payout and prizes). We weren't sure how many of our Canandaigua perch guys go after the trout on opening day. We usually have several 'regulars' in these tournaments who look forward to them and have a lot of fun, so I guess we'll see what the turnout is and go from there. Thanks for everyone's input and hope to see you at the marina after this last (hopefully!) winter blast! -
Canandaigua Perch Tournaments Save the Dates! - Seager Marine will be holding 2 Spring Perch Tournaments this year on Canandaigua Lake. The first will be on April 1st and the second will be on April 29th. These will be team tournaments (1 to 3 person). Entry fee will be $40/team. Watch our website for details and registration forms or stop in the marina Tuesday through Saturday. Let's hope this weather breaks after the usual late winter snow storm!

Yes - it turned out to be a nice day for the teams and it was nice to see everyone at the weigh-in. I'll post weights when I get back at the marina on Tuesday. Thanks to all that participated! See you next April or you can stop in during the winter to share some fish stories. We're open Tuesday through Saturday all winter except around the Holidays and around the Rochester Boat Show which is Feb 2nd through 5th. Maybe we'll see you there! Ted

Spent a couple hours fishing the north end yesterday. Wind was a pain since I was solo. Picked up a 7# rainbow on an FLT spoon down 60' over 90' and a 4# brown on leadcore 8 color with Sutton. Some weeds but not terrible.

I heard that the ramp at Seneca Lake State Park is OK with about 3' of water. -
FYI - Lund has come out with a new fishing boat for the shallow water fisherman. It's called a Renegade and comes in a 1775 or 1875 model. It's basically a bass boat. The hull is designed with the typical Lund reverse chines, a flat center pad, and a full length center keel so it should be good in the deeper waters as well. The boat has nice livewell placement, loads of storage, good maneuverability in shallow water, and tons of deck space for casting. They have National Advertised Packages set up and you can get the 1775 with a 60 Hp Merc on it for $17,395 plus freight and prep. Seager Marine currently has one in stock with a few options for $21,500 (plus tax) out the door. Come check it out!

That's one awesome fish, Les and Mark! Luckily I didn't have enough time to fish so I didn't get entered!! You truly deserve the win. I've never seen anyone on this website that is as open and helpful as you are to everyone. You certainly put your time in and it finally paid off. Come see me at the marina some time so we can chat! Getting ahold of Finger Lakes Tackle?
Fbog12 replied to codybuehler's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
Same issue here. I ordered a bunch of lures, charges went to my credit card, but waiting for lures to show up. Tried emailing with no response. -
The next Seager Marine perch tournament will be this coming Saturday (4/30/16). Team tournament (1 to 3 person team), $40/team, full payback. See details at seagermarine.com

We had a great turnout for the first of our two spring tournaments today! Weather was really tough but we had 11 teams tough it out all day long with shifting winds, rain, sleet, and even a little snow at the end. They were all happy to get in and warm up, snack on pizza and wings, and tell some stories. Highest weight for 5 fish was a whopping 6.39 pounds. Biggest perch was 1.87 pounds. Second, third and fourth place dropped off to 4.99#, 4.29#, and 4.25#. It'll be a real challenge to top that 1st place total, but we'll see what happens at our next tournament on April 30th. The weather has GOT to be better!!
