That was the beginning of August. I can't figure out why I can't get the picture of the deer without velvet to load. I think they must be from the same genetic pool as the non-velvet deer has a drop tine on the right side and a split brow.

I have been getting some good pictures lately. I see that one of the bucks I got on camera has no velvet. Seems kinda early but I guess it is that time of year.
