  1. Launched out of Lakefront Promenade on Sunday for a test run with a new motor. Trolled back in from 80FOW with 2 stick baits on flatlines and a small jointed bait in the chute behind a small gang troll and a dipsy. Picked up 2 small Rainbows of the river mouth in 25 to 20 FOW. Both hit the dipsy just off the bottom. Note to self for next weekend....start in close and remember the long johns. Sent from my SGH-I717M using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): May 13 Time on Water: 1pm to ~6pm Weather/Temp: 20c Wind Speed/Direction: light breeze Waves: flat Surface Temp: 10c Location: from Etobicoke to Clarkson =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 5 Total Boated: 2 Species Breakdown: Chinooks Hot Lure: 4" gold & silver Williams spoon / pink hoochie tipped with a Gulp minnow & dodger Trolling Speed: 2 to 2.5mph Boat Depth: 40 to 70' Lure Depth: 10 to 30' The 1st fish was 4.5lbs and hit a pink hoochie / dodger combo down 15' in ~50'. The next 2 hit a small Williams spoon in the same depth. I lost one right at the boat and the other took the spoon...my last one...a mini gold/silver Whitefish spoon. ...and they were of course the biggest ones of the day! We picked up a ~3lber on the way in 30 FOW on another small gold spoon running at 10'. .....and strange enough, we ran a Monkey Puke all day with no hits. I had a bonus hit when hauling in the gear. A small Chinook chased a fly off the back of a Spin Doctor right ot the back of he boat and hit the fly when I was pulling the Walker 65 diver in. Last week we could find bait balls in 50' but this week everthing was scattered until we came back into the river mouth ~6pm....lots of baitfish and marked lots of salmon/trout. Cheers!
  3. For a free public launch, try Bayfront Park, Hamilton. It's not on the lake but it's a short run through Burlington Bay to the Skyway and the lake. Look up Harbour Front Drive or Bayfront Park and you should find it easily enough. The ramp is usually in good shape....just watch out for the goose sh*!....
