  1. I've found that most of the posts have migrated from boards like this and spoonpullers to individuals Facebook pages. Try searching pages in relation to "salmon fishing" and your particular part of the lake "port credit" "port weller" "bluffers" ect and follow their individual posts. There are also groups and communities on there like Big lake trollers where people post photos and recap their latest trip. As well almost every charter or tournament team has a page where they share their productivity. Good luck!

  2. Not sure if soneone else has already mentioned it but have a look at a hardtop walk around style boat. There are various manufacturers Striper, wellcraft, proline, Boston whaler and Grady white to name a few. You can get a 21-23' that's easy to trailer and fine to handle on your own with a 8'6" beam that will handle almost anything you throw at it. I'm running an inboard but given the chance I'd go with and outboard next time round for serviceability. Should also fit your budget no problem and there are quite a few now that are from fresh water only. I upgraded from my old 17' starcraft and haven't looked back, good luck with your search.

  3. FYI...friend of mine just ran into same trouble. cannon uses the same rigger body for the digitroll's so under the "sticker" on the top where the buttons for digitroll would be there is a hole where they run the wires thru. if any of that sticker starts to peel up as his did just a little in one corner...your rigger will fill with H20 and fry you switch and board! his had 2" of H20 in it when took side cover off to change board! I placed small bead of silicon around mine after seeing that!

I thought I was the only person to have this problem. Beware the sticker! Luckily it was covered under warranty.
