    Have you checked Craigslist ? I see one, 87, in Union Springs for a grand and there is one listed in Buffalo that appears to be a bit more high performance , is carbed, can't tell what year it is asking 2500. Other than that or rebuilding what you have another option is to find a crapped out hull with a decent engine. Although some times they go hand in hand, boat not maintained, engine not maintained.

    Hello, while winterizing my 91 Penn Yan 245 Contender I noticed the shelf where the battery sits on port side was rotten and the top half of the Vertical wooden support as well. Bad design by Penn Yan, draining the storage compartments directly on to that support shelf. Anyway, I need that fixed and am now paranoid about any other Structural damages. Anybody have any ideas on who does this kind of work around Oswego area? Thanks in advance.

    For sale -1988 avenger hard top 23'boat with 1988 penn yan trailer,it has a very good running chevy307,the boat has a new ray-marine sx7 auto-pilot,fish hawk 840,great lakes (8)rod holders with side planner poles,with 55w lights on top deck......trailer has very good tires with mag wheels.....this boat had new stringers and bulk head done in 2004 by penn yan.....has wash down pump.....some burt rod holders and tracks....inside roof lights.....all new led lights on boat and trailer,surge brakes work well on the trailer will be winterized this week-end.........5,500.00 or" best offer " down sizing to a smaller boat,thanks for looking PICS ON THE WAY...

    Effed up starter bolt hole 4 cyl inboard

    I am going.to re drill out the hole and put a solid insert, like that one using a jig to properly align the hole. Ive never had a lit of power from this boat but it has always been rock solid for trolling. 3 years and no problems at all. If I have to pull this motor to fix it, I want to repower with a 4.3L just need to kmow if the motor mounts will line up? The 4.3 and 5.0 were options in the Bayliner Trophy 2160. Anybody do this before? Thanks, Big D
