Last reports I saw on iceshanty was 12"-14" of ice, and the bite is very slow. Those that are catching fish are going through a lot of dinks and having to move around a bit to find any keepers. Last weekend, the fish being caught were suspended 2'-4' above the bottom. Due to the snow, it's a hard pull on the ice with 12"-18" drifts.

I'm on the lookout for a 14' to 16' deep V utility boat. After some rough weather this past fall, it's time to upgrade over the small '68 Starcraft I currently have. I'm most interested in something with a 20" transom, but I'd also be willing to take a look at boats with a 15" transom, depending on it's weight capacity(at least 4 people). It doesn't need to be pretty. Engine would be a plus, but not needed. I don't really need a trailer either, but if ones included it won't be a deal breaker. I live in Buffalo, but I'll be keeping the boat in Sodus Bay. Willing to make the drive to anywhere in the surrounding are if need be for the right boat and/or deal. Thanks, Rob
