Was out sunday from 7am to 1 fishing in 75-90fow picked up a 9 lber on a white/green flasher with green fly reset switched other rigger to a mag spoon green and silver popped that rigger 30min later i actually stopped the boat it was pulling so much drag i thought it was stuck on bottom got it right behind boat and it popped off right before net i am guessing it went 16+lbs biggest laker i have seen in long time that one was just north of sheldrake

Your best bet this year is the frozen food section of your local grocery store if you want fish for your freezer

Ok started late about 7:30 picked up 8lb brown on a cheater set 20 foot above ball back 15 behind ff i jad running off ball right after that my motor just shut off ... Called for help on radio and sundance idk the captains name showed up an towed me back in. Turns out coil went bad so ran to napa new coil installed by 2:30 we were heading back out trolled around in 90fow marked alot hugging bottom but no takers pulled lines at 4 and gave gf and friend of hers a ride around bay then packed it in.....def not my year :/

I am heading back up in morning hoping to finally move a rod. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will have my radio on boat name is sea note looking forwarded to chatting with some you guys and being on water for the day

Yeah i usually do i was fine didnt mind the waves at all but my little brother had never been on big pond before and i dont think hes ever going back again lol

Can someone show or explain the proper way to rig ff and or meat rigs? Proper leader lengh and leader lb test? Mono or flurocarbon? I ahve been up several times and have failed to really hook much wondering if i am doing something wrong or just terrible fishing

Well we splashed down at 5:15am an headed for the lake. Had my younger 14 year old brother along for his bday trying to get him his first king trolled east in 100-150 marked a few fish had two goes one on rigger with meat ome on dipsy with ff lost both. My brother lasted about an hour before he was hurling over that back of boat....lol i have never seen someone turn that many different shades of green. We called it at 9:30 after my father started turning a little green too. Idk who predicts the weather and wave height but they were way off today. Calling for 1-3 footers was more like 4-6 footers with an occasional 8 thrown in. My brother. Informed i now owe him a different bday present. The way he was looking i think if i would of had a gun he woukdve begged us just to put him down ....lol

Oh well maybe some tight lines next time (little brother wont be included in that trip lol)

I went through and replaced most of my lines with salt water line whatever they coat that with for saltwater seems to really help with keeping fleas off the line so i thought i wouod pass it on. Tight lines everybody

if anybody pulls up a rod out of deans cove had a yellow dipsy on it was a brown rod with a left handed line counter reel we were in 50-75 fow

had a blast for a few hours this evening out of deans cove 30-60 FOW lead core with twin minnows off the boards produced a lot of fish along with a few dipsy bites (run back 80 and 120 feet and quite a few off the down riggers set down 35 and 45-50 feet. Got my kids reeling in a few nice ones too! And the dog learned that when a rod bounces there's going to fish coming on board. Lol
