Ok started late about 7:30 picked up 8lb brown on a cheater set 20 foot above ball back 15 behind ff i jad running off ball right after that my motor just shut off ... Called for help on radio and sundance idk the captains name showed up an towed me back in. Can someone show or explain the proper way to rig ff and or meat rigs? Proper leader lengh and leader lb test? Mono or flurocarbon? Well we splashed down at 5:15am an headed for the lake. Had my younger 14 year old brother along for his bday trying to get him his first king trolled east in 100-150 marked a few fish had two goes one on rigger with meat ome on dipsy with ff lost both. My brother lasted about an hour before he was hurling over that back of boat....lol i have never seen someone turn that many different shades of green. We called it at 9:30 after my father started turning a little green too. Idk who predicts the weather and wave height but they were way off today. Calling for 1-3 footers was more like 4-6 footers with an occasional 8 thrown in. My brother. Informed i now owe him a different bday present.
