  1. Good to hear!!! I showed a guy back in the 80s how to ice fish. This guy didn't have a job and had a bunch of kids in the inner city. What happened next was this guy fished every single day down at Braddocks, Cranberry and Long Pond. He kept every single fish he pulled out of the hole. I think he single handedly killed the fishing in those spots for many years lol. We used to pull 20 pike a day out of the ice and every single one went right back in.

  2. Hey guys in the past I have added flash to my tip ups by putting a mepps or another large bladed spinner to my rig. Believe it or not it works real well for pike and pickerel. Truthfully it works better on bright days with the snow cleared from the hole so the light can get thru the ice. Just a helpful hint if anyone wanted to go for predators.

  3. Good day out on the ice today next to Wegmans in Canandaigua today. Got out at about 2pm didn't feel like driving out to bradocks for pike so took the kids out for some Bass action. Had a bunch of flags but only managed to hook up once. Kids had a blast and that's all that matters!post-153815-13889627883656_thumb.jpg

  4. I have a hub and love it for taking the kids. Once your out of the wind and have a heater in there it's warm. Plus bring a ball to play with instead of staying in the tent. My kids love passing the football!! The clam isn't to tough to drag without a snowmobile. But the hub is cheaper!

  5. Good ice on the north end of Canandaigua lake. 4 inches of good ice at lagoon park behind wegmans. We caught 4 bass and 3 pickerel in 4 hours of fishing. Good place to stay out of the wind as it is pretty sheltered.
