  1. Fished with the GobyKing for a full day on Saturday and a half day on Sunday. Fished around the Taughannock area and despite the winds managed 25 plus fish on Saturday. In the late afternoon the wind died and the fish really started feeding. We were jigging in 90 to 140 fow. There were periods of inactivity but also flurries of double headers.

Sunday started with no wind , a stunning sunrise, and we went straight to the secret spot and hammered the fish landing 16 and dropping another 8 to 10. Fish were mostly fat, healthy 28"ers with a few smaller and some up to 31". We were off the water by 11:00 am. The GobyKing did a great job keeping us over the fish and unhooking mine 😁. Incredible fishing and scenery !!

  2. We fished Black River Bay area out of Henderson Harbor and found some warmer (60 degree) colored water and did very well on walleyes up to 11 1/2 pounds and also cught a stray 6 pound smallmouth, several browns, and a laker. Fish were caught on shallow diving plugs in 12-24 fow on planer boards; and michican stingers with Gibbs weights flatlined out back. Weather was sunny and warm and fish hit all day long. I'm used to sunrise/sunset bite or ugly weather being best. Sometimes it just deosn't matter.
