Parking is free. A couple restaurants near the launch might have docking but I'm not sure. Navy Point has fuel.

If you want to trailer there is a very nice launch on the south end if Henderson. It's really close to rt 3 so easy to get to.

Sacketts has a long wall you can tie up to if you boat in. They also have a small ramp if you want to trailer.

Both areas are beautiful.

The lake was rocking today. I went out of the Salmon but it was really rough. Big rollers and white caps. I turned around and went back in.

I could only see 2 other boats out and one looked like a 30' and it was rocking and rolling. Hopefully it'll lay back down soon.

There will still be fish in the lake next weekend. Barely any have been running up the river yet. They won't all be up there this week.

Bigger concern would be is the lake calm enough to fish.

This afternoon one of the dune stewards did a short survey with me at the Port Ontario launch. She was saying that you have to clean your boat off before you leave the launch area. It'll be warnings at first then you could be ticketed.

If this stops the spread of invasive species I'm all for it.

You should talk to the young kid that works at Woodys which is the bait wood convenience store just before the park.

Memorial weekend he gave us great advice on what to use and where to fish.

Yes the channels are marked very well. If you're going from Wellesley to eel bay you won't have any issues. The water is pretty high right now.

I went out through the channel last week. The water in the pond straight in from the channel is very low.

I went to the north side of the channel to get out. You have to hug the dunes and you can see the darker water which is deeper. I saw some boats do a similar tract on the south side of the channel.

I did see fish on the finder in the pond too.
