That's probably the best idea for me as of now. We used to run braided line on the divers. What's the purpose of wire? Is there a specific type or test I should be looking at?

So I am getting back in the game after being away since the mid 90s. Hope to be on the water of Lake Ontario(out of Sandy Creek) within the next 2 weeks. I got 2 downriggers and 2 dipsys to start with. Any suggestions or techniques to start over with? Not familiar with leadcore or copper...should I give it a go?

Hello all. I am about to get back in the game after a long lay off. Haven't been on the lake trolling since my father was a charter capt. out of Sandy Creek back then. Just by reading I'm learing alot has changed...copper, lead, cowbells, etc. Hoping I can learn what I need to catch a few.
