Hmmm, are bass populations really down, or do guys just not know how to adopt to how the fishery changes??[emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]
Why would these Lake O smallies be fooled by your suspect, unnatural looking presentations when they have an all you can eat goby buffet that's open 24/7?

Great feedback. Any idea where they get parts from?I used Southbay. My trim/tilt ram cracked. I needed a new sleeve and to have it rebuilt. They were $600 including parts out the door and had the boat back in a week. Everyone else I contacted wanted double that and a 4 week lead time. I 100% would go back there. I sent a friend there for his boat that had some motor issues and he said for what he had done the price was more than fair.

Has anybody ever had Mercury outboard work done at South Bay boat and tackle.
If so, any feedback?
Thinking about bringing my Mercury outboard to them for impeller and fuel line assembly replacement, and potentially a detail.

Sooo, ya or na for the ramp at North end of the bay? This ramp is listed on NYS DEC website as a state launch, and is also listed on the brochure that camp in the mail with the empire pass

By chance, do you know if the Empire Pass is accepted at the North end launch? I read on the NYS DEC website that it is, but was also talking to somebody that said it is a town launch, and that empire pass is not accepted. He said town of Irondequoit sells a season pass of there own for that launch.According to Jack Cooper's fishery report, many years ago, for NYSDEC, there is limited spawning habitat for smallmouth in the Bay, mainly along the Irondequoit side south of Newport and North of Densmore. Fishery work done more recently as part of the Bay Plan process by Dr James Haynes at SUNY Brockport mainly indicated largemouths. I used to do well off shore just south of German Village, but that got turned into Condos quite a while ago. And when I was a kid, the Outlet Bridge and the Railroad trestle were always hot spots just after the season opened, but that's all gone or radically changed, too.

Do Smallie from the lake move into the bay at all to spawn, or do they stay out in the lake on flats?

Check out the Rochester Bassmasters website. Great club, with great people, that is active in the community and has an extremely exciting 2018 tournament trail slated, with the likes of lake erie, chaumont bay, oneida lake.
Always accepting new members of all ages, levels if experience.

Anybody have any info on smallmouth in the mud bay fox/grenedier island area? Have been up here on vacation for the week but have put anything consistent together. A fish here and there, fishing everything from 5' to 30'. Would like to put the family on some fish. Thanks.

Caught this smallie last weekend right outside Lily Bay. Obviously appears to be a tag. Anybody know anything about what type of tag it may be?

Great thanks. So ramp docks are all above water?

How was the ramp/channel at braddocks?

Still available?

In search of a lowrance head unit only. Size and gen does not matter too much. Just looking for a head unit to drop on the already rigged bow mount. Let me know what you have, thanks.

Have been wondering the same thing myself. I was out there on Sunday, but only headed back in the creeks, not to the lake. I spoke to guys at the dock, coming off the water in a bigger trolling vessel that said they were on the lake. So there has to be a decent channel out to the lake, just nothing marked (as of Sunday).

Does anybody have any experience with any tracker aluminum hauled boats in the SLR, or on Lake Ontario. Looking into getting something like Pro Team 175 TXW, but want to ensure that it would be safe and sufficient on this big water. Would be almost exclusively bass fishing.

Major league fishing is having one of their events on the river 6/26 - 7/1. Six days of competition, a few of which are catch as many fish as you possibly can. Those bedding fish won't fare too well for that.
