  1. Not sure if it's the braid because I run a 6ft leader with a ff combo or a 20ft leader with a spoon, the braid stops at the dipsy. I also have braided on a downrigger line because i haven't changed it out from a previous dipsy and I get hits alot but again I have a 6 to 10 foot leader...
  2. Yeah I use all dreamweavers also, usually the super sslims produce the most for me. Always have a dreamweaver mag one out. I never have luck using dipsy divers. I used braided line. Seems to work but I never have strikes using them.
  3. Nice I would love to catch some rainbows or browns, haven't had anything but lakers on. 4 ft waves are no good haha, atleast for this trip because the girlfriend is coming. Any color spoons been hot? I always us green and orange ones.
  4. Anyone having any luck out of taughanock marina? I was up last Saturday and landed acouple lakers around 4 to 5 pounds on spoons down around 100ft. Thinking of coming up monday.
  5. Not sure but I marked more fish then I did all season at lake ontario so it was a great time
  6. We trolled the shore line maybe 250 300ft from shore. Most fish and bait were marked between 30 and 100/120. Trolled at 1.8 to 2.6mph. Due to wind we trolled north to camp then started marina again.
  7. Hey we fished yesterday from 1pm to 7pm. Went out from taughannock marina, started trolling north right out infront of marina. Trolled north to girl scout camp then picked up and repeated that run all day. Marked tons and tons of suspended fish and tons and tons of bait in 300 plus fow. Had my Riggers stacked starting at 90,80,70 and 60. Two green spoons and two orange/red super slim dreamweavers. About 30 minutes in the 90ft red spoon tripped with a 4.5pound laker. Also caught a 10 incher laker as well. Had only a few strikes so I believe the we're full. I had a mag dipsy out 300 with a green spindoctor and green fly which had no luck. Spoons were my ticket. Fishing bite wish could have been better but the fish were allover. If I can figure how to post pictures, I'll show my fish finder and laker. I have never marked so many fish and never have seen that many bait piles, unbelievable. Hope this might help you. I'll be back the week of the 5th
  8. That's awesome was thinking of coming 3 hrs and giving it a shot but the weather dose not sound to great. Winds 5 to 10mph. Maybe that will turn them on a feeding frenzy though.

  20. Hello all, heading to ontario this weekend and was wondering what size spoons to be buying? Going to be running two riggers and either dipsys or boards. Flashers behind the riggers iam guessing sense I've never been there before. My question is what size spoons to be buying. I've heard great things about dreamweaver, but what models and size iam not sure. Thanks for any suggestions or information. It's greatly appreciated. Jay
