Launched at PD, lots of boats, tried for browns in 15-25 FOW, and nothing. Went west to 45-60FOW. Ended up with 7 hits, 3 in the box, all Lakers, biggest was 21lb, two others little bit smaller. Lost 4 at the back of the boat, all fish came from the bottom, was not easy to bring them in.IMG-20210327-WA0014.jpeg

Great work. Can I ask what you got them on? I stayed in the skinny water for most of the day, finally got a brown around 230pm. Short shallow purple/pink BayRat.

  2. Great post YT and a good day out, congrats! I have had great success with the BayRats, but don't have a ton of them. I'd like to get a few more but the funds are limited.

I see from their website they have the S3 running 1-3 feet deep, a short shallow running 4-8 feet, a long shallow running 3-5 feet...

Can you comment on which model you use most, for what circumstances, and/or would recommend for Lake O? I go out of PD on the Cdn side and have used mostly the 3-5 foot deep model off the boards with good success, but maybe I could be doing better???

  3. Hey gang- new to the board. Haven't fished Lake O in years... grew up with my dad fishing from Bowmanville to Port Credit, and all the launches in between...

Thinking of coming down this weekend, priority one is getting on the water, catching something would be a bonus... given the wind forecast, would I be better off at Port Credit or Dalhousie? Don't want to drive from London and just end up looking at the lake...
