  1. Check out what you say skate..Yes there is inspection at the processor and yes the restaurant has to have the name of the place they bought the fish from. And yes the processor does have guidelines to follow concerning sanitary handling of fish.I'm trying to figure out why people think they can report things without any knowledge....so answer me where the bs is

  2. Nothing bothers me more than educated ignorance and there's a lot of it going on as far as the sale of fish goes. It's going on for decades and it hasn't heard a damn thing on Lake Ontario

  3. Perch perch perch.... how about the glamour fish carp and bullheads. all up and down the st. Lawrence in the spring they have bullhead dinners at the fire stations and other fundraisers

like chicken barbecues in other places. I remember as a child my grandfather used to go to Montezuma and take carp down to Binghamton and sell him to the Jewish people for kifelda .I haven't noticed an uproar about that. If I hadn't had Chaumont bay for help a few years ago I would have been picking cans or on assistance. If you actually think hook and line fishing is a detriment to the population I sympathize for you. I think that it's ludicrous to get more laws passed over fish or game..Almost need a lawyer on retainer now to keep up with all the laws

  5. Something else you guys have to realize is there is a cycle with fish. The metric tons of perch that are in Lake Ontario would blow your mind. I remember as a kid from Long Point State Park four miles down the shore to our camp there would be 25 or 30 not strung out from shore out to probably 30 foot of water. the fishing was good then. A lot has changed up there and down the river in the last few years. The perch are deeper and I think it's because the gobies have eaten all of the bait out of the bay. As far as Seneca Lake is concerned I fish that late for 40 years and it has had his abs and flows also. I guess that's why we call it fishing and not catching just my opinion on the matter
